Those benchmarks are really awesome for a MTK chip, i always thought they made crappy chips ? those phones listed here are as fast as a Galaxy S5 and for only $200,-. I really think to buy 1 of these

I think my missus is giving a lot of consideration to snapping one of these up. $200 for a phone that is *double* the performance of her existing Xperia Z? Yeah, she's interested.

I might consider this as a replacement for my S4, but 195€ sounds fucking tempting and they'll send it as <50$ package? I fear that customs will eat the package alive

Well thats hell of a phone for that price, watched couple reviews and im definately replacing my old ass Xperia Z. I really cba to pay 700-800€ for "good brand" flagships if china can do this for 200€.

It's amazing to think about how powerful these phones are compared to $500/600 "big name" brands. $174 for the 720p 4.7" model and $199 for the 1080p 5.5" one, since other than screen res/size both S3 and S4 seem identical.

Mediatek is shit when it comes to AOSP roms tho, since they need a lot of hacks to give certain functions because of how closed Mediatek is compared to Snapdragon..
I wouldn't want a phone with Mediatek processor honestly..

Edit: Will wait till summer, i see the new MediaTek chip will be released around that time (MT6795)

The AOSP rom will probably get better as Mediatek's popularity rises.

So disregard what i said above.

Apparently Elephone P8000 will use of MediaTek’s WorldMode 4G LTE
. I couldn't find any info at all about exact bands it uses but hopefully it will work in U.S.
