Those benchmarks are really awesome for a MTK chip, i always thought they made crappy chips ? those phones listed here are as fast as a Galaxy S5 and for only $200,-. I really think to buy 1 of these

I am thinking to order one from this site, it only costs 195 euro's and it is a official reseller from what i have read on XDA.

http://www.jiayu-store.com/jiayu-s3-4g-5-5-inch-mt6752-octa-core-ram-3gb-1080p-screen-dual-sim-4g-lte-mobile-phone.html

I contacted them about shipping and taxes, got this mail back (same as ibuygou is doing)

I think my missus is giving a lot of consideration to snapping one of these up. $200 for a phone that is *double* the performance of her existing Xperia Z? Yeah, she's interested.

I might consider this as a replacement for my S4, but 195€ sounds fucking tempting and they'll send it as <50$ package? I fear that customs will eat the package alive Laughing

I also found this one, not sure if it is legit or not as i can't find any real info about it. But 4,7 inch is perfect too for me. Specs are the same but the design ... lovely.

http://www.gizchina.com/2015/03/27/purported-4-7-inch-jiayu-s4-details-revealed-include-64bit-chip-usb-c-and-more/

Edit: By the end of june ? http://www.coolicool.com/jiyu-s4-mtk6752-17ghz-octa-core-47-inch-hd-screen-android-50-4g-lte-smartphone-g-39298#disqus_thread

If that is true i order that one and it only costs €159.07. Jesus those well known brands sure know how to steal people's money! aka samsung/apple/htc and so on.

It's amazing to think about how powerful these phones are compared to $500/600 "big name" brands. $174 for the 720p 4.7" model and $199 for the 1080p 5.5" one, since other than screen res/size both S3 and S4 seem identical.

Still hoping Jiayu S4 will be "officially" announced, 4,7 inch is just perfect with the same specs.

Mediatek is shit when it comes to AOSP roms tho, since they need a lot of hacks to give certain functions because of how closed Mediatek is compared to Snapdragon..
I wouldn't want a phone with Mediatek processor honestly..

The AOSP rom will probably get better as Mediatek's popularity rises.

Apparently Elephone P8000 will use of MediaTek’s WorldMode 4G LTE
. I couldn't find any info at all about exact bands it uses but hopefully it will work in U.S.
