A 7? Harrison's in his prime. This movie was sheer brilliance. But.. okay... we're all different, opinions and IMOs etc

If these are the most extreme cases, you haven't been looking hard enough. Wink

As you mock me or your minds explode, remember these scores are spanning many years of ratings. Also, they are completely subjective, not objective. Space Jam is a fond childhood memory, while Raiders of the Lost Ark is a flawed popcorn flick ("and the Last Crusade" gets an 8 because it was better). Bean's Holiday is a arthouse project with Mr Bean slapped in, while Blade Runner is a good film with which I have some fundamental differences. Don't take the scores as if one is better than the other based on a digit alone. I will, however stand by scores you find there, I am not trolling. I often revisit scores as I revisit films.

Albeit having similar scores, the movies dont really compare to each other because they are from different scores and fulfill different purposes. I dont see the problem.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I didn't get Blade Runners hype at all. Found it to be pretty mediocre when last i watched it.

When it comes to movies, skeletons in the closet are a must grinhurt

I don't have an imdb account, but I like to write down my scores on paper in a vintage way just to not lose track (otherwise I couldn't remember), and boy some of the old ones are hard to explain. Sometimes I wonder, how on earth could I love that movie, it must have been the alcohol!
Revisiting them is really mind-blowing at times, often the "adult" perspective hates the teen one Razz

I have a distinct dislike for Italian mafia films. Goodfellas is at the higher end of the spectrum.
Titanic I haven't seen in many many years, but I have fond memories of it at the time I saw it (in cinema) and the company I saw it with. Since I have no intention of seeing it again soon, the score stands.

Leo died... that is worth a 7! Cool Face

On a serious note: if we'd check everyone's IMDB ratings it would be filled with weird choices if we compare movies.

I usually say: it just represents a scoring at a certain time and the mood you were in. Usually after another watch that rating will be changed.
