Mercenary Kings will have a strong focus on cooperative play. The initial version of the game will feature local 4 player cooperative play and will be available for PC. However, we are planning on supporting more platforms and online play if resources allow it.

i just got it on ps store from work and it downloaded directly on my ps4 in standby within 2 minutes.

PSN+ is one of the greatest things to happen to console gamers, if you ask me, especially now on the PS4 where a monthly fee for online play is mandatory; it's just great getting so many free games each month. The only drawback is that it's not retroactive so the last 2 years worth of games (some absolutely cracking AAA and indie titles) are unavailable to anyone that didn't have a PSN+ sub during that time.
As for Mercenary Kings; it's awesome! Really enjoyable Metal Slug style game with some fun "RPG" progression/loot mechanics.
Bah, the more I play this the LESS fun it becomes Most of the game is just a goddamn grinding chore .. need some new bullets? Okay! "Go grind in the jungle for an hour or two... or three because RNG teehee... heehehehehehnehemehehehehehe..." so you can get seven specific items that only drop 2% of the time. YAY! It's like merging the best of Metal Slug with the worst of fucking World of Warcraft. Then there's the downright terrible map design which is almost always coupled with lousy timed missions that have you running across the map (which has multiple planes, not just horizontal/vertical) in order to find ... you guessed... X amount of items/etc.
Meh.
Such a great game but this grinding for crafting is irritating, as are the fetch quests.

Yeah, I realized what this game was going to become within 10 minutes of playing. Already uninstalled it. I think it would've been better if they just made a Metal Slug-type clone with linear stages and none of the crafting BS.
