I guess it's about time to make arrangements for the funeral for the Warhammer 40k franchise.

But still, Warhammer 40k MOBA?

I think "rogue-like" games are still going strong too. They better spit one of those out as well while they're at it

I'll settle for another DoW as a "proper Warhammer game".

I'm not sure that is really true. They have already done it before, and are about to do so again, at least with the WHFB franchise: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Dark Omen, Mark of Chaos, and the upcoming Total War interpretation. Dawn of War, at least the first one, was a fairly reasonable compromise for 40K, as suggested by LeoNatan.

Another dark omen please. Battle march wasn't bad but they could have done so much more.

I like Warhammer 40k and I've never tried a moba. Hurr. Should I try this.

Short answer: no.
Long answer: sure, try whatever you want... but I'd recommend trying one of the actually good MOBAs (league of legends, DOTA2, heroes of the storm) instead of this. Wait for some other WH40k game.

Heroes of the Storm probably best bet if you've never played any. Keep in mind no matter where you go you're going to get yelled at by try-hard neckbeards, but HotS probably yelled at the least.
