More good news today as the atmospheric turn based RPG styled game 'Pioneers' by Eigen Lenk, is now available to buy as a work in progress build. An adventure, exploration mix, 'Pioneers' is set in the 16th century where you lead a party of travellers in search of treasure-rich temples, new tribes and ways to go down in history

They could at least try to make it look a bit better than Pirates!
It doesn't have to look that bad to instill my retro feel.

Somehow I like graphics that aren't too 'complete' in rpgs and roguelikes, as they allow for your imagination to take over where the graphics come up short.
This looks like an interesting game!

Looks like a game that would have been fun 15 years ago.
I'm don't care much about graphic, but this is just too crappy (retro). Kinda looks ike Civ1.

I played what looked like this game on C64.
It better have some fucking amazing gameplay cos i'm sick and tired for using 'retro' as excuse for shitty graphics.
This isn't even charmingly retro that adds to the aesthetic - this just looks old.
