I'm looking to buy a book online and have it shipped to me from another country. I've found it on two places:

1) On http://www.worldofbooks.com let's say it costs £13

2) On http://www.biblio.com/ which lists as a seller http://www.worldofbooks.com and the same "Bookseller Inventory #" - so I guess it's the exact same book "unit" as 1) - let's say it costs £10

How is this possible? Buying it directly from the store is more expensive than buying through an intermediary?? What?? Is this normal? Because then I'll buy it from biblio.com (I've checked shipping prices and they are similar so that's not an issue).

"a phenomenon."

I've noticed it here in Sweden. Most of the books I want cost quite a bit more in the stores than online. Difference can be 5 to 10€

But that can't be applied to yours... most likely one has a better deal in place or shifts more inventory.
