eh.. games going to be shit anyway with their rubberbanding and cheating AI, their nonsensical tire wear and fuel consumption not to mention the idiotic differences between tire surfaces...
To think I actually was that naive back in the days believing in their plan of gradually improving this game with every release... While some of the same shitty things are in their from their first game.

I really wish they, or SOMEONE would make a decent F1 game, with proper team management, proper physics, realistic graphics, better career mode...
And less 'Codermastery' - fed up of their psuedo realistic presentation.
And why can't we have commentators? They had Crofty to introduce the game, why can't we have him and Brundle (love or hate him), it would make the game just more 'involved'.
Hell, why can't they actually use the FIA graphics - surely they have the rights to that too?
'sigh'

It's really like that. Until Codemasters are involved and own the rights, nothing good will ever come of this series. There is literally no hope whatsoever.
It's also evident in those leaked screens posted by Lolo, the generational "jump" for them is only a matter of providing better graphics and gimmicks. They could implement a scalable driving model with proper physics for once, that would be...nevermind!
I've got to say that codies are really optimistic having Ricciardo, Button and Raikkönen in front of a Merc instead of the Merc being half a lap up front in the first corner

Thinking about lapping Vettel's Red Bull in 2012 would be optimistic as well...
And yet I did. Not just once. In a Sauber...
It all depends on who's behind the wheel.
Oh, and we don't know yet, this season the Mercs might turn out to be crap compared to last year (most likely they won't though...).

I played all the codemasters F1, the 2009 had it's problems (rubberband AI, pit stop bug) but in 2010 they fixed a lot of things.
After that it went downhill, the bugs that were in 2010 you can still find in F1 14 and the AI still cheats in qualify or don't stop to pit during races.
The best moment of this series was the classics of F1 2013, too bad that you couldn't play career
Overall, i will probably play this F1 but i'm not expecting much

I used to like the "interviews" on F1 2010. I would love if drivers could change team or after some years could appear new drivers (like the newgens on FM). The career mode gets boring because every year the cars are always the same
I would also love a new damage system, the currently one (i think they never changed it from F1 09) sucks. You go at 300km/h in a wall and you only damage your front wing

You did see that troll face there, right?
They bought the F1 license and they're incapable to make a decent game. It's the same with Nascar games.
It doesn't even have to be like, ultra realistic simulation stuff - lets be honest, if that was put in as standard, noone here would be able to effectively play it
Just... make it less arcady, and more ... more... Oh I don't know. Dirty. CM's F1 games are so squeaky clean it makes Riccardo's smile look like a frown...
I can't put my finger precisely on what's missing from the F1 games, all the above mentioned are of course valid issues, but there's something else, like the 'soul' is missing.
But then I suppose there is no soul in a clone of a clone of a clone....

The new model delivers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas including engine and transmission, aero dynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and most notably a brand new tyre physics model – creating a truly breathtaking and realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track.
Dem screenies tho.
Spoiler:
Same textures and models, but with chromatic aberration = insta next gen!
Maybe they should add more politics to the game, make it even more realistic... I would love to play as a driver who has to fight his way to his seat due to being 'overlooked' during contract renewals....
Definitely need a manager mode, and fatalities... need some of those - noone ever dies in these F1 games.

"On console we've had it very, very close to 60fps, certainly on PS4," F1 2015's game designer Steven Embling explained back in April. "Everyone at the studio is doing a fantastic with the optimisation, and we're in the final couple of months before release where there's a big push that we hit that 60fps, and that's the plan."
Haha, from a field full with champions they had to go with those two xD
A Mclaren Honda that's racing barely for the points at this very moment (they are progressing tho!)
See, that's why I'll always be dissappointed with codies F1... it's not made for F1 fans and they don't seem to actually have a clue about the sport.
Indeed, it's a very odd choice to say the least.
"Lewis, Seb and Nico, we're the Codies, would you like to be part of our team? We're going to make a new fantastic F1 game!!
*sounds of phones quickly hanging up*

There's a trailer too, it seems that the good drivers have been convinced after all xD
Honestly, those graphics look rather good. Of course, who knows what that means in today's hyped up media bullshitting PR machine.
For some reason, this pic impresses me, I can't put my finger on it, but I like it. Shame the game will probably be an arcade fest - I'm kinda expecting Hamilton's face to pop up on the bottom of the screen saying 'Hit DRS NOW!!!' like in a didgy Japanese fighting game

Yes but it's less intimidating for those who are easily intimidated by people with more skill and money then they have
(actually, I don't have photoshop installed just now, and I had to resort to an online editor - so I couldn't be assed making a perfect Hamilton transparency....)

@Kaltern: I ask myself why the Codies haven't implement that yet. I mean the cars already have not-so-subtle autosteering, braking is assisted regardless of the settings used, spinning the car is a mission impossible, you may as well spice things up with a QTE mini-game!
And every time Hamilton nails the DRS, Rosberg's jealous face inevitably pops up
