Based on the novels of Max Allan Collins, the show will be directed and executive produced by Greg Yaitanes (CINEMAX’s Emmy®-winning “Banshee”; Emmy® winner for directing “House, M.D.”), along with executive producer Steve Golin (HBO’s Emmy®-nominated “True Detective”). QUARRY is created and executive produced by Graham Gordy & Michael D. Fuller (“Rectify”).
“This nuanced and dynamic show marks an exciting moment in the evolution of CINEMAX programming,” said Lombardo.
QUARRY tells the story of Mac Conway, a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River. QUARRY stars Logan Marshall-Green (“Prometheus”) in the title role; Jodi Balfour (“Final Destination 5”) as Joni; Peter Mullan (HBO’s “Olive Kitteridge”) as The Broker; Nikki Amuka-Bird (“Luther”) as Ruth; and Damon Herriman (“Justified”) as Buddy; along with Jamie Hector (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Arthur; Edoardo Ballerini (“Romeo Must Die”) as Karl; and Skipp Sudduth (“Ronin”) as Lloyd.
An HBO Entertainment production in association with Anonymous Content, the series is also executive produced by Matt DeRoss (“The End of the Tour”), David Kanter (“The End of the Tour”), Max Allan Collins and Ken Levin (“The Scribbler”). Additional writers on the series include Jennifer Schuur (“Hannibal”) and Max Allan Collins."

thx for that, every now and then i get the thought "wait, wasn't Tom Hardy in Prometheus?", and I always forget to check it on IMDB, now I know it was just my mind playing tricks on me
But yes, they do look alike, I guess we can call this one...Tom Hardly
Damn, the premiere was bloody great. Much better than I expected really, discount Tom Hardy is believable, so are the other characters, I liked the gritty tone and style a lot. I'm definitely hooked for the rest.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was supposed to play Joni She actually played her in the pilot they were filming. And it was announced back then that Stellan Skarsgard joined the cast.. but it didn't work out coz of a two-year delay in getting the show picked up
After the first 2 episodes I have to say, this is very good and has great potential. Also, nice to see Mr. "Dewey Crowe" playing a badass, well-spoken (he learned from the best in Jusified), faggy hitman

It's a very odd show in the sense that he has been hired to do jobs, and so far all he's done is fuck one up, kill someone who personally wrong him, and caused a heap of trouble for his employer. There has a been a single job where he was a good help. Even his wife escaped without any of his intervention.
Unless he starts picking his game up soon, it seems unbeleiveable that the boss man would want to keep him around
Haha true, it seems he causes more trouble than he solves. But I think he's going to get a new target, the fat man.
I'm really enjoying this show. I don't know why, but sometimes reminds me of the many lonely, atmospheric moments in S1 of True Detective, maybe it's the southern setting.
Binge watched it all today and i love it! Great setting, great acting and great story, the only thing that's a bit distracting is that lumb on his head
