Just bought a lappy for the gf, not that great, a dualcore haswell i3 with a gtx840m ... no dvd drive tho just 3 usb slots..

Made a usb bootable stick with 8.1 but even though i set it up via bios on the lappy, nothing happens no matter where i plug it in.

Ideas?

Lappy currently running some shitty linux lite version.

Try go straight to boot menu where you can straight select device you want to boot up. No idea what the key is for your laptop tho.

Found the issue guys, usb stick was formatted as NTFS, made it fat32 recopied and it works...

Tried the other stuff before as well but nothing was showing up except the HDD. F2 is bios, F12 is boot selection.
