An epic biblical saga of faith, ambition and betrayal as told through the eyes of the battle-weary King Saul, the resentful prophet Samuel and the resourceful young shepherd David -- all on a collision course with destiny that will change the world.
One thousand years before Christ, the first king of the Israelites, Saul, struggles to unify the 12 Israelite tribes and defend his fledgling nation against savage enemy attacks. The prophet Samuel relays a message from God to King Saul that he must destroy one of Israel’s ancient enemies. But when Saul defies that message, Samuel prophesies that the Lord will tear the kingdom of Israel from him and choose another in his place. In time, Saul comes to realize that his greatest threat will not come from his enemies, but from the shepherd, David.

Hmm never heard of it and there is no thread so it might be good and its biblical so it migt not be good.
Its also ABC but has Ray Winstone, although according to IMDB he's only in the first episode? :/
I noticed Google Play is selling "OKAP - Uncensored Version" which would seem to confirm the rumors that more explicit version of the ABC episodes would be seen online.
Noone cares about this biblical shit. If they want a GoT styled series, they could have gone with Genghis Khan, or shogun era, ancient Greece or Byzantium ...
I honestly don't mind biblical shit, I think the material has quite the potential for some fucked up mythological movie/series. But... you need to dump the whole serious approach to it. Treat it for what it is: some made up shit.
The series also drew the ire of conservative watchdog group the Parents Television Council, which decried Kings for its graphic sexual content and violence and declared the Biblical drama unfit for children.
This is really hypocritical when you think about it xD
"Biblical drama is wrong and must be censored. Come on kids turn off the TV, it's time to go to the church and listen to the wise words of the bible!"
