Quote:
Guardians of the Galaxy is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the tenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will be directed by James Gunn, with the screenplay written by Nicole Perlman, Chris McCoy, and Gunn. Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Lee Pace, Ophelia Lovibond, Glenn Close, Karen Gillan, Benicio del Toro and John C. Reilly are set to star.

This one might turn out to be fun. Nice cast and a good director.

It blows my mind that they are making a huge movie on this IP. I had NEVER heard about it AT ALL before they started making this movie. I cant be the only one. Never seen a comic, a cartoon, a reference, a guest appearance or ANYTHING :F James Gunn is a good director, tho

Out of all MCU movies, comic book fans are the most hyped for this I think.

But I as well had never heard of it before.

I had heard of it before but still find weird to see this of all things "adapted" to the big screen... probably because it will somehow connect with thanos?

If the movie doesn't take itself too seriously then it could work. I want Benicio del Toro as the chipmunk Laughing

It indeed doesn't seem it takes itself seriously [and that's good].

Click for first footage description: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/63357?utm_source=full-feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_term=coolnews&utm_campaign=1307_RSS

Here are the impressions:

Quote:
The footage was silly, ridiculously charming and easily the most fun of anything played in Hall H today. James Gunn's sensibilities were on full display and Chris Pratt was knocking it out of the park. I love him on Parks and Rec, but he's on another level here. I'll eat my hat if he's not an a-lister in the next couple of years.

The secret to a group this weird is to jump headfirst and give it all you got. You can't shy away from the bizarre nature of this particular story at any point or the whole illusion shatters and it seems like Gunn, Feige and the rest of the Marvel team knows this... and turned the weird up to 11.

With only some 14 days worth of shooting represented, this thing looks big, fun and totally aware of itself. If the whole can match what we just saw today then this could be my favorite Marvel movie to date.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

the fact that gunn did this... and it looks better than some cheap indie shit fest... excites me.
gunn has good ideas. I'm interested. The putin character looks cool. The guy from parks and rec seems to be doing the rock thing. Always looks like he's having a time of his life when he's on camera. Happy to see that.

Same here, this looks somewhat "fresher" than anything else Marvel is trying to do these days^^
Maybe it will end up being yet another Marvel disaster with zero characterization, silly writing and teen jokes, but still Laughing

hey hey hey leo... shut up Very Happy just because you can relate to Lieutenant Alex Hopper and his struggle against war... doesn't mean we can't relate to a new breed of blundering bad ass human dudes.
