Well, virtually at least.

For some that don't know about it, there is a Porsche 911, called HLS, that a month ago, not even Google had any entries about it - well it still doesn't, except for the latest news about the car being in a poor state.

It was a '64 911 sports car, sent to Automotive Engineering department at the University of Aach as a "retractable roof racing coupe" study.

For some, it might not be the best looking car, but it had interesting features like a folding roof, which included the doors and the rear hatch was removable. As you can see from the render, the windows weren't sliding up/down. they instead overlapped from left to right.

I couldn't leave it in that poor state, so I used it as my personal virtual restoration project - I always enjoyed these, but haven't found the necessary time to finish them.

Somehow i like that heavy used look in the first pic much more Very Happy

But that could be, because in your render the car looks too clean

Hey, this looks quite nice, but the roof could be a bit more glossy and the shadow is very hard and dark. And you also added lines around the porsche side Smile

I am having a tough time working out what that was done in, the wheels are throwing me as they look out of place style/art wise to the rest of the car almost like the tyres had too much fxaa high sharpness applied to them.

I am seeing some aliasing as well on main window? so I would guess this is an actual 3d model render.

Otherwise looks great. and agree on the shadows part with pumpy.

I never thought I'd say this, but that is one ugly ass 911! Still, it should be restored as part of the history, and you did a good job!

Sir. I used Photoshop, it's not a 3D model. Wheels are Fuchs model, originally sourced from that Porsche era.
