|
 |
Umm dunno if this has been talked or not but i need sum help..
I've got the full, latest version of FRAPS,and the audio driver/program is a SoundMAX 5.2,and when i try recording in-game audio from TEAM FORTRESS 2 (i use a Logitech headset (using Jacks for mic n ears, wich mic NOT WORKS) and a Logitech Quickcam Messenger (USB,the voice taker?)) it doesnt records correctly!
The thing is that when i record with it i hear sum...weird audio,..like "DrrRRrrRRrr" like http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=uJTc8jqcY-Q&feature=channel_page at 0:5
Is it because of the cam or something?,windows' audio configuration (from control panel)?,or Fraps' audio input choosing?.when is "detect best sound input" it chooses S.Device SoundMAX HD Audio and at S.Input: "Microphone" (the Logitech Cam?)
But when it's Windows input it says Sound Device "Logitech Microphone (Quick Cam)" and the input "Default"..
HELP?..i wanna record with quality, not with "DRRRRRRRRR"!!,but i also wanna speak via my mic!
On my Audio Devices on control panel i have,on Audio: Default Sound Playing Device: SoundMax. Sound Recording Logitech Microphone.
On Voice: Voice Playin: SoundMax, Voice Recording: Logitech Microphone
Thanks in advance

I had to enable 'stereo mix' option in my realtek audio soundpanel in order for sound to record. By default, its disabled. try that...

What do you use to record and what do you use to re-encode?
It shouldn't really happen that way. Any encoding software should show you the available audio tracks.
I did have a similar issue with Sony Vegas, when it wouldn't recognise the uncompressed audio track (because of some weird parameters the recorder used). Forcing the recorder (Afterburner in my case) to downmix to stereo solved it, since it encoded the audio track with different parameters.

I only wanted to recode the standard fraps recording to something that can be uploaded to youtube as the fraps files are HUGE. Neither handbrake nor vidcoder were able to display any audio track. Installing ffd codecs didn't work either

Have you tried re-encoding it with VirtualDub?
The main issue is likely with Fraps though, so you might want to use something else for recording in the future. Many recorders these days support GPU accelerated real-time h264 encoding as well (with AMD, Intel and Nvidia solutions) which deals with the size issue.
I think OBS and Afterburner (or RTSS specifically) are the main free solutions. I prefer Afterburner for ease of use.
There is also the "official" AMD solution via Raptr client.

you need to play a bit with the record option in windows sound input.
what's you hear/win sound/stereo mix
microfon or extrernal/whatever does not work.
but you need to set it up, and after start fraps, becasue fraps does not update on the fly, only at start.
anyway, fraps kinda sucks (at this time). get bandicam or dxtory.
for free : you can try https://obsproject.com/ . is a nice program.
