BlazeRush is a dynamic arcade racing survival game with no health, no levelling and no brakes! You can assemble a team of friends to play in local or online multiplayer, choose a car to your taste and chase, blow up and cut off! Adapt your style and tactics to new enemies, obstacles and tracks.

I wanted to share these pics and video from this amazing game from Targem. It´s absolutely perfect in every way: controls (either with keyboard or gamepad), camera, graphics, sounds, music, car and track variety. Multiplayer is a blast, I highly recommend it.

I recorded the first 10 events from the carrer mode. Bear in mind that the first events serve as tutorials.

It's just not the same without
'Jake unleashed hot fury'
'Olaf looks lost out there'

And of course, bad to the bone!

hmm, apparently the camera system is horrible according to this early review:

bit.ly/10588Di

Still, seems fixable so this could turn into a fun game. And most steam reviews are positive. Love these top down/isometric racers so I still have hope.

On the contrary, the camera system is pretty perfect to me. It zooms out when players gets too far behind. It also pushes them forward and the camera zooms in again. This way no race is completely lost for any player, as it happens with similar games. Check my video on the first post and you´ll see. I´ll record some mp matches at 60fps later.

I don't like the camera. Sometimes when you're in 1st position you can barely see the track, leading to driving errors.

Nevertheless, the game is kind of fun.

That seems to be what that review said as well. Hope it gets fixed because it seems like fun.

It's a design decision to keep all races open for last moment wins. This game is primarily designed for having fun no matter who wins the race.
Some option for "no catchup camera" would be great though for those who don't like the current camera implementation.

It's never fun being cheated out of first by bad design. (i'm looking at you blue shell of death)

I... huh. Oculus Rift support added in the latest update a few days back. Rift support... in a top down isometric racer? I guess you have to see it to understand Very Happy
