you never went to army stage in your country ?
you have to obey orders during military stage of face military court. during a war, if you get to military court for disobeying orders in active combat, you get sentenced to death.
now, i'm not saying the what it did was ok, but if those were his order (according to article maybe was porrly gugal translated ?), it had to obey them unless he wanted a military trial.

but you can find many other stupid and disguisting crap during wars. like razing villages/towns from the face of the earth with unknown number of casualty's (is ok to do it with bombs, matter's only if someone actually pull the trigger in the face of the child ?), decimating whole populations ... and that not only during medieval times, during our times aswell. with medical precision strikes. yeah right.
Today we have the same crap, war machines killing civilians, because intel, because presumptions, etc etc. "Collateral Damage", Apaches gunning down people with cameras, Drones killing "targets".
At least when im old, ill be able to see how the world will finally understand what this war was. More bullshit.
