its not dark crystal unless it creeps me the fuck out for the next couple of decades, so i hope they dont fuck this up by making it all sunshine, happiness and giggles...
Can't wait for this to be released. The most detailed and amazing (and creepy) puppetry in the original and the photos look just as amazing, just better definition.
Not sure I'm gonna be able to convince my gf to watch this Even Labyrinth still creeps her out, despite me trying to shift her focus to Bowie's bulge.
I actually didn't really like this original one. It was beautifully made, but the puppets weren't all convincing, and I remember (as a kid) that it dragged a lot (boring, even). Labyrinth was always my favorite by far over the 2.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Is it me or the voiceovers sound really amateurish and the CGI effects look really amateurish? Puppets and buildings look awesome as usual with Henson.
The CGI is indeed off putting, perhaps even more because of the puppets. They should have gone with stop-motion or something else tangible, but that would have taken them a lot longer to make.

I really liked it. Watched the movie after finishing this series and it made so much more sense to me compared to the first time I saw the movie 20+ years ago. Most of the stuff in the prequel were perfectly matched with the start of the movie except a few things that didn't really matter. It feels as if there's a couple of years between the end of the prequel and the movie but overall it was a great show. The puppetry was nice (but that classic Henson puppetry was a little better in the movie compared to the series).
