Without any sort of special event, Google has just announced the Motorola-made Nexus 6 smartphone running Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone features a 6" 2560 x 1440 pixel display, which gives it a pixel density of 496ppi.
The premium display is backed up by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a 2.65GHz quad-core Krait 450 CPU inside and 3GB of RAM. At the back, there's a 13MP f/2.0 camera with dual-LED flash.
At the front, there are two stereo speakers and a 2MP front-facing camera.
The battery is a 3,220mAh unit, which isn't user replaceable. However, it sports Turbo Charging, which allows you to get up to 6 hours of use from the Nexus 6 with only 15 minutes of charging. Google promises the phone can make it through 24 hours of usage without problems.
That sweet 6" version.
I guess it's a goodbye to cheap Google phones ;(
$649 for 32gigs
I was waiting for next nexus to finally free myself from huge note2 but nope.... Not only nexus phones are now much more expensive but bigger?
Maybe I can still find 5 somewhere

still cheaper and bigger than a bendy phone
besides fony had 6.4" more than a year ago and smartphones-phablets will get bigger until they are gonna exceed wtv is acceptable
personally can't see myself carrying anything bigger than 5" in my pocket, well right pocket that is

The much increased battery is nice and would have been the main reason for me to upgrade from the N5.
But the price seems to much higher than for the N5. (500€ or even more for 32GB)
No chance that i will pay much more than 400€ for a new smartphone, seeing how you can get great hardware for less nowadays.
Seen note 4 in a store... looks identical and performs just like note3.
But it will have gearvr
3080, ps5, lg oled

poof, and just like that nexus price advantage is gone. besides being stock android, is there really a reason to consider nexus6? note4 for example offers same or better specs, more options such as microSD, stylus, removable battery, most likely better cam and so on.
Nexus were never cheap phones or tablets, at least in EU, sure cheaper than fapple bloat, but never as cheap as in US or wtv
guess they realized that and decided that if people will over pay for fapple product any time how anDROIDS are any better
All they needed to do was take the Nexus 5 and give it a better camera and battery life. But no, they ruined it. Now we get a ridiculously oversized phone that is far too expensive, and probably the camera will still suck balls. But yeah it does have a 2,7Ghz quad core cpu and 3GB ram, should be enough to check facebook and play candy crush.
