Man, this game was the shit!. I remember buying it when it came out, and was furious when I came home and found out my vid card didn't support some sort of opengl, lmao.
For it's time, the gore, violence, and language (some very memorable quotes) was insane. Nothing quite like this was out at the time.
Was really big on the multiplayer, there was some old lobby system called heat.net that sega eventually bought out. Many good times there
Classic game to me.

Ah, I remember this. Great atmosphere and quite original for a "pure" FPS, it had interactive NPCs, a money and quest system, and it was somewhat nonlinear.
Richard Benson: " Durante tutta la mia esistenza, ho avuto sempre un sogno...
(Throughout my whole existence, I've always had a dream...)
Loving fan: "un cazzo 'n culo!"

"Hey boss, I am fucked up", loved the game.
The soundtrack of Cypress Hill was way to short though, just like in the game you encountered a ghetto blaster playing that track but the sample was just like 8 secs long or so.
This was the game for a time, the one to show off as it was the king of filth talk and gore. Up there with SOF for awesome nastiness. Might look into giving it another go after all these years

i played it on my 16 MB voodoo banshee combo-card (yea back then a 2d+3d combo card was witchcaft, instead of having a standard 2d 4 MB ati rage card with a voodoo 2 accelerator)
I don't remember if i had voodoo 1 out Geforce2ti then but that game was dope !!!

There was ever supposed to be a sequel to this? Not sure it would work anyway. It's entire "thing" was lots of swearing and a nasty urban atmosphere which is no longer "cool".

Haha yeah that's true. But maybe a remake would be cool in UE4 ?
I needed some old-school shooting to keep me company and remembered about this game, it was time to replay it after almost two decades. A risky move but everything went well, the fun factor is definitely still there.
The GOG version works fine under W10, though the default release has no widescreen support, fixed low FOV, no AA/AF options etc: in order to fix all those simply apply Monkey Harry's patch http://kingpin.info/?e=882 et voilà, happy Kingpin time.
Spoiler:
Holds up decently, the gritty violent underground atmosphere forms a unique combo with the hilarious cursing, homemade voices and Quake 2's signature jiggliness, the weapons are meaty and some of the maps have a clever level design (mini-hub-like) with basic NPC interactions and environmental puzzles as well.
It's tough as nails too (just as I remembered), wouldn't recommend going for anything above the high difficulty since the medium one's already the equivalent of today's hardcore - with the highest difficulty (Real) being possibly one of the most brutal types of challenges in gaming, only for lube-addicted Kingpin men. The final part is downright scrappy, there isn't really a story and the cliffhanger is abrupt (to say the least ), but the game just doesn't give a damn about anything and it works. So what's all the commotion? Hey fuck you piece of shit. You fucking want some of this? Piss off!
Kingpin: Reloaded, the remastered, enhanced version of the crime-themed first-person shooter developed and published by 3D Realms and Interplay, recruits new gang members on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
In a stylized noir art deco gangland that never was, the Kingpin rules above all else with a bloody fist. When his lieutenant Nikki Blanco leaves a no-name Thug battered and broken, the upstart criminal rises from a puddle of blood, lead pipe in hand and revenge in mind.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
