so, my dad lives in thailand (chiang mai) and i found out, that the flight /there and back) is as cheap as 550€ ~ lol.
So i figured i can like live there 2 months, come back and work for a month and go back for 2 months etc.
Sounds like a sweet deal no?

Living in Thailand was piss-cheap, at least a couple of years ago, from what my friend told me when she was there. Renting a room/small cottage like thingy for a month was less than 100 euro.

Friends have been telling me the exact same thing too , they were all amazed by the prices (and products ) there.
Obviously you need to be careful with food and drinks because the quality is inconsistent and there are some places that are...plain unsanitary, but generally life is surprisingly pleasant for them "rich" westerners. So Sin, if you have the possibility, I'd say it can be a nice adventure, especially with your dad who can guide you and tell you all the tricks of the trade xD

The only thing keeping me from living in Thailand is the piss poor internet.
But i understand why so many seniors choose to live in Thailand, their pension goes so much further.
