An interesting, hopefully, course is starting on eDx 'War for the Greater Middle East'
About the Course
For more than three decades, the American military presence in the Middle East has
gone unquestioned and virtually unchallenged. Why? How did the United States come
to play the unappointed role of regional hegemon? What has been the effect on
Americans and the people of the region? And what can we expect in the future as the
Middle East today undergoes one if its most volatile sagas in modern times? This
course addresses those and related questions by examining in detail U.S. actions in the
Middle East from 1979 to present. Our study of the recent past will bring insights on
the current state of the America and the region, where a bloody and uncertain struggle
continues to unfold
