Someone fed cats with glycol in the town where I live. Not just strays, but other cats too. Their livers just gave up and died seemingly with no signs. The cat home where I worked financed an autopsy and they found high levels of glycol in the blood which basically stopped the body from taking in air and poisoned the cat.
That's just one of many ways people creatively kill animals, in Malmö there was some dude that threw around poisoned meat around the paths where dogs usually go. Needless to say, dogs tend to just eat what they find, and thus a few dogs died, and some had to go through painstaking operations.
Last week there was some dude that put little thumbtacks inside pieces of ham and threw them around the dog parks.
It's just the same kind of socially inept psychopaths that love to ruin the lives of others because they've been unable to make something out of their own. So pretty much the same type of people that display hatred toward men, women, cats, dogs, etc. that you find in this very forum.

Oh wow. Putting thumbtacks in ham and throwing it for dogs to eat.... And giving glycol to cats.... I just can't understand what kind of person would do this. They must be seriously sick in the head.

On that subject, a group of teenagers in Sweden took an old man's cat, put it in a bag, strung the bag up on some wall and threw rocks at the cat.
The screeching noises drew someone's attention, and as the kids ran away, the cat was looked at, still barely alive (but yelping) they took it to the vet, where it died from the injuries suffered.
