My brother died only 3 days ago. He was only 18 years old. Such a tragic loss. Had his whole life ahead of him. Everyday Ive woken up since and I still dont believe he has gone. The more I think about it the more surreal it seems. I think it will finally hit me at the funeral. I wouldnt miss his funeral for the world but fuck I hate them. They are so emotionally draining and I know so many people will be weeping and sobbing. Im fucking terrible at funerals. This will be my third one and I only went to my first one a few years ago when my Grandad passed away. I told myself I would be fine but seeing so many people upset and with emotions running so high, Im sure I will need a tissue or two. The funeral isnt until next Friday so I have plenty of time to prepare but Im sure that wont make any difference whatsoever ... fuck Sad

May the NFOrce be with you always.

Sorry to hear that Sad

If I don't have to go, I won't go. So far I've only been to one, and that was to funeral of my best friends dad.

I really hope not to go any more in the near future :\

How awful.

Such a young age to lose ones life. It wont be easy seeing him off, but I'm sure he would want you to be strong for him.

So sorry for your loss.

I know how that feels, as I lost my father last year. If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always send me a PM.

Bottling up and avoiding facing this sort of stuff won't do anyone any favors either, so I suggest you let loose what you have to.

Sorry about the death of your brother, man.

Wow you guys thanks so much. I never expected this many replies. For those who asked and wondered, my brother had an extensive history of epilepsy. We have the same father but not mother so I guess he is a half-brother but I always saw him as my brother. I seem to remember my Dad telling me he was diagnosed when he was 2 years old. I have lost count of the number of fits and hospital visits he has had. No one expected this but the 16 years since being diagnosed cant have been easy for him. He was always injuring himself when having these fits due to unexpected falls. He loved videogames which are obviously not good for epilepsy sufferers. Eventually my Dad had to take his Playstation away and for a long time he was unable to watch so many movies because of the lighting effects. The hospital were always changing his medication but no-one could completely control it. My Dad said he had a fit, vomited and died of a heart attack.

I still cant believe he has gone. Sad

May the NFOrce be with you always.

So sorry for your loss HS. I lost my closest friend a few months back. I bottled it all up for a while, until one night in bed i let it all go. I have a good wife and she just held me and listened.
Everyone deals with grief differently, go with what gets you through the situation, there's no right or wrong way.

What has helped me though, was that i stopped thinking of what i and he had lost and remember what we had. The times we shared, the hobbies, the laughs and the women Smile all of the things that helped shape who i am now.

Be strong, but also let yourself go when you need to Headshot.
