MotoGP developer Milestone has announced RIDE, a new motorbike racer heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in spring 2015.
RIDE takes superbike racing off the track and onto a "huge variety" of city, country and historic circuits from across the world of motorcycling, with over 100 bikes available across 4 different categories: Superbikes, Supersports, Naked and Historical.
Milestone also promises "unprecedented levels" of vehicle and rider customisation to keep gameplay "fresh and exhilarating”, and claims that the game will "alter the concept of 'motorcycle videogames' forever".
"It is with great pleasure that we are able to publically announce our first proprietary IP: RIDE," said Milestone's director of marketing and sales Marco Micallef. “Milestone has worked hard over the last few years to get to the position we are in today, where we can compete with the major companies in the international gaming scene on an equal footing. This was made possible with the help of the licensed games we develop and distribute worldwide.
"After more than 15 years of hard work, we felt the need to develop something that would bring together all our expertise and encapsulate the Milestone DNA with respect to the world of motorcycling. As always throughout the history of the company, we have analysed what our international community of players have been asking us for and carried out internal research to find out how we could satisfy their demands in full. With RIDE we're confident that players and motorcycle enthusiasts the world over will feel the irresistible urge, pad clutched in hands, perched on the edge of the sofa, to physically lean into those corners as they speed along the tracks."
The game will be published by PQube in the UK

I'd love a bike game less ''motogp'' style with only big bikes, and more forza or gran turismo style, where you can buy low end bike and tune them! working your way up !

Great...anothere bike game where they cant get the sounds right
Engine sounds like a fucking fart machine
I agree, this sounds absolutely terrible.
I admit I havent played ALL the bike games inthe world, but every single fucking one I played had shitty as fuck sound. Why does it seems that hard to do?
PQube and Milestone have released a new trailer for their upcoming motorcycle game, RIDE. Created for the players and building on the experiences of the serried ranks of bike fans, RIDE aims to offer players the chance to ride over 100 bikes, in 4 different categories – Superbikes, Supersports, Naked, and Historical Bikes – and take them hurtling at full speed over a huge variety of city, country and historic circuits from the world of motorcycling.
RIDE will also offer unprecedented levels of vehicle and rider customisation, presenting players with a vast array of options to keep gameplay fresh and exhilarating over the long term.
The game is currently planned for a March 20th release.
The 'problem' with a game like this, is that Milestone are probably going to simplify the driving model, to create that Gran-Turismo-with-bikes experience for anyone who doesn't want to spend time trying to learn how to handle them. I'd rather stick to MotoGP 14 which at least is satisfying physics-wise.
@ Morphineus: difference is that Loeb is probably the most dominant driver in his field...ever. I don't think any driver in any motorsport is. Agostini, Rossi, Schumacher, Andretti all have a good number of wins, but none of them dominated any of their seasons the way Loeb did. And unlike Schumacher, it's all him and not the car (or team mates)*, plus he got his 9 (!) wins consecutively. And if his 2013 GT Series and 2014 GTCC results are any indication, he'll be dominating those too soon
Never mind the fact that he just "tested" a souped up 208 at Pikes Peak, setting a new record (but only just )...or entering Ken Derp's precious X Games just once (mostly for the lulz I'm guessing) and nabbing the rally cross gold with a pretty substantial lead
If there's any driver who deserves a game named after him, it's him. In fact, if you look at people who've had racing games named after them: McRae, Burns, Block, Andretti..how the fuck does he NOT have a game named after him yet ?!
Yes obviously! Loeb has a pretty good car and mechanics as well
(I thought they were quite closely matched on the ROC races, and that was Schumi past his prime)
Still, I agree, he deserves the recognition more (feels like an understatement when it's phrased like that ) than that retarded Derpkana,Burns,Andretti...
But that was not my point... I always disliked names to be used like that in games. Cheapens the name of a legend.
And yes Schumacher was a huge twat, but he was pretty great (not only F1)... But shhh!
