Well I was trying to clean the screen of my Samsung tv, it had a couple of fingerprint stains on it. Looked on the internet, most people recommended using a microfiber cloth which a little wet. I did that and instead of cleaning it left even more fucking marks. I'm pissed what the hell!

What can I do to fix this? Should I buy a tv screen cleaner or something? Sigh

Too much dust on the tv. You wet dust that's what happens z
Use microfiber first to wipe off excess dust.
Use another microfiber with a little windex.
Then a dry microfiber to dry it off.

Thnx zipfero.

Is that really the reason WaldoJ?

Even when I use a microfiber cloth now, nothing happens.

Btw, there is not any dust on the screen. When I feel the leftside the screen is really smooth. But when I feel the right side, which I cleaned, its not smooth at all.

i always use swiffer for dust and if there are any prints or something that doesn't want to go off i use this kind of cleaning cloth... they're also pretty good to get off this nicotin if u smoke inside.

Just damp the cloth a bit, and wipe the whole thing with it, not in circular motion, but all in one way, and leave it to dry. Repeat a couple of times, and you should be fine.

Well I damped the microfiber cloth and wiped it, while not in in a oneway motion, this is the result. So doing that again will change it?

Soft Toilet paper works wonders on TV screens.

10mm hose attached to a water hydrant with 33psi (no less, no more), have a cloth handy though, and aim hose at screen.

Make sure TV is switched on ON at mains beforehand, and that you are standing near.

Did you turn off the screen for a couple hours before you cleaned it? Because even with a micro cloth and "special" cleaning fluid a cool screen makes all of the difference for me.

That's what gave it away for me Wink

Well, if it did?, then (going by that picture) it would be kinda annoying, yes, as you disturbed the layers of dust that should have been cleaned years ago.

Above one's bed too, so equally disgusting.

In all honesty, just give it a wipe, as it's in such a fuckin state, that anything's gonna be better now.

are you sure? The photo looks like it wasnt dusted off since you got it and then clotted up the many layers of dust on the right side with the water in the cloth.

Maybe its just the photo but looks like a very very dusty screen.

duster -> microfibre -> compressed air -> microfibre with screen liquid. is what I do, living in a dusty room and being a smoker ill have to do this at least once a month, more like twice though.
