And seems to be completely stuck on 5.3.2. I don't have any hopes for anything higher at this present moment.

I love everything Star Fox and even I won't be touching this one... I just can't stand forced controls like that, just because they're demanding use of their hardware.
Would have loved the option at least.

That's the downside to gimmicks, mate, once something is designed as a gimmick it gets shoehorned into everything.. whether it's to the detriment of the game itself and user experience or not.

At least Sakurai left Smash alone, he was smart to avoid all the rioting that would have ensued.

Honestly if you can play it for free, leech it, it's 100% worth a leech even with the weird controls. You can get used to them anyway, but I find myself spending most of the game on the gamepad rather than the TV screen :S

The game looked fucking ugly in the last video I watched. Laughable in fact. Still the same?

not sure what you meant by last video but since e3 2015 the game had greatly improved graphic-wise. At first it was indeed PS2 levels, now it's more like PS360.

It seems the opinions are wildly divided - a friend told me it's a "must play" and that you just got to get past the controls. I'd have to play a demo to be able to decide personally ... . Last time a friend told me something very similar about a console game, it was Golden Eye and I absolutely HATED the controls no matter how many hours I struggled with them in deathmatch.

Yep it's the kind of game you need to play first, because you can like it or hate it.

i'll buy star fox when it reaches €15 euros.
And yeah 5.5.0 is a waste of time to wait for some exploit to run backup games. oh well..

Have in mind it's the equivalent of the 5.3.2 exploit, means that it's just a kernel exploit, still no IOSU.
That being said it still means free games on SD CARD, including the new Starfox, and the use of 3rd party controllers or even mouse + keyboard

Still confused on a few things, but had to order a bigger SD card... ordered a 128GB arrives Thursday.
In the meantime, trying to learn all I can, as I did not keep up with any of this Loadiine crap because I've always been on 5.5.X
Does Loadiine care what region a game is? Can any region play any region? If region free, why do I see so many people obsessed asking which releases are which regions?
Does every game need to be modified to be "sped up"? Or just some? Saw some shit about games taking 20 minutes to load, but after some wizardry, only a minute?
What are Title keys used for? Some releases have them, some don't?
What's the point of JNUSTool / NUSGrabberGUI?
What the hell is a Meta folder and why are people sharing them?
Will report back on Thursday of progress. Already snagged a few releases:
* Star Fox Zero
* Xenoblade Chronicles X
* Hyrule Warriors

Gonna try to answer all in the quote :

> No Loadiine USUALLY doesn't care what region a game is and will try to boot any game whichever the region. Sadly the games themselves usually care about the Wii U region and try to accordingly load the game assets that are for your language/region.
Since some games use different assets for English UK vs US, French Canadian vs European French, or Spanish from Spain vs South America, it can sometimes leads to these games not booting IF the game doesn't have these assets on disc. This is true for example for Starfox, Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad, NES Remix... Maybe others, so for these I suggest you grab your region game, unless you want to rename a few files.
Does every game need to be modified to be "sped up"? Or just some? Saw some shit about games taking 20 minutes to load, but after some wizardry, only a minute?
> Just some. I have in mind at least The Wonderful 101 and Starfox (most Platinum games). Some games are slower to load though (but not 20min, maybe 45sec) and you can't do anything to speed them up but they are rare (Super Mario 3D World is a bit slow to load for example).
What are Title keys used for? Some releases have them, some don't?
> You don't need them, they are just per game key to decrypt the ISO (WUD) and to access game files. If you leech the Loadiine versions, games are already extracted (like PS3 Jailbreak games) so you don't need title keys.
Another good use though for NUS Titlekeys (another type of title keys) is that you can directly grab the game from Nintendo server and extract the PKG. But it's all optional if you grab extracted versions.
What's the point of JNUSTool / NUSGrabberGUI?
> You need it to download game updates, you then copy them in the game folder (update I think ?) so Loadine then allows you to boot the updated version of the game.
What the hell is a Meta folder and why are people sharing them?
> They are just icons for the game, so it looks nicer in Loadiine (else no icons).
