TX confirmed it requires soldering for BOTH regular and lite. They have shipped units to testers and reviewers so hopefully videos will pop up soon of installations.
Good stuff! Are you doing the installation yourself?
I have a launch console with a trinket m0 fitted (installed by someone else). But I'm tempted to pick a newer battery improved Switch up and get a chip installed again.
Possibly a stupid question, but what are these kind of releases for?

Does this actually enable to play online without paying? Or is this just the offline features like NES games?

No. I'm sending it to someone from GBATemp. Not really comfortable with Solder Gun. Haven't used in one couple of years. . This chip looks so tiny, wouldnt want to mess it up.

It's just a dump of the official NES emulator from Nintendo, which has some games
I bought a switch about 2 years ago and have barely played anything on it (more about my hoarding tendencies than the quality of games etc) but download the big titles and update the firmware from time to time (just did so this week so I'm current).
But I'm curious what other homebrew SX OS users like myself have installed on their switch - I don't spend enough time on switch forums and subreddits to know what homebrew is and isn't compatible with SX. Ideally looking for a free Shop - looks like I had one on there from a year ago which is no longer working.
I had one for about six months last year and ended up selling it - like you, I just wasn't playing much on it even with, effectively, the entire library of games available for download gratis.
I never really got on with the limitations of the system - handheld I found it fiddly, the controllers felt flimsy and inaccurate, text was too small, battery life was crap, and docked on my big 4K panel it felt like playing on my 360 again. The whole system just felt a bit janky, from the build quality, to the gaming experience. And outside of the Nintendo stuff, I couldn't get excited about any of it. Once the novelty and the Nintendo first party stuff had been played, I barely touched it and was gaming on the PS4 Pro all the time again.
Maybe it works for some gamers, but I was actively relieved once it had gone! Additionally, had I kept it, the next-gen stuff coming through would have embarrassed it even more. One minute playing Demons Souls in 4K HDR with a dualsense controller, next minute picking up a rattly joy-con and playing some RPG or other in glorious 720p? Nah.

Welp.. My youngest has come to me asking for the new Paw Patrol game, and it needs firmware 12.0.1 of course, being on SXOS, I'm stuck on 11.xx something.
Anyone got a good guide bookmarked to switch from SXOS to Atmosphere? I have a Trinket m0 internal chip currently installed that boots up SXOS on startup (if that matters) I'd like the Trinket to boot to Atmosphere now instead.
