Yeah, but you're not going to want to run any kind of overclock in handheld mode.. not unless you want the already short battery life to be cut in half
At least it plays OK now. It seems they have fixed the speed of gameplay and music. I'd prefer a 16:9 expanded view because 2020 but at least it's DOOM.
They are indeed wad files according to the iOS version but i'm not sure where the switch store them at all. And I sadly dont think a legit user would bother studying that.
They are for sure not stored in the save game that is only 14MB and all the mods are 40MB or so.
Is it not possible to just change the game structure? On PC, that terrible port is able to load WAD files. Maybe on Switch too.
Indeed it's most likely possible using LayeredFS... didn't really try to put the WAD in the unity data folders, who knows, but doubt it would look here by default
A lot of that comes from the lack of devkits and/or SDKs, and even those with access to official Nintendo SDKs ... they can't release what they make because then it stops being "homebrew" and goes into the "piracy, using stolen tools" realm Sucks all round.
