Age of Empires series returning with a 4th installment?

http://www.linkedin.com/jobs2/view/13555785?trk=jobs_search_public_seo_page

This job description is rumored to be a possible source indicating AoE will be revived. I for one, would appreciate this.

Age of Empires: Castle Siege announced, will use microtransactions to "accelerate gameplay"

Six different civilizations will be available to choose from at the start, each with "upwards of six unique 'cultural units,' along with cavalry and trebuchets," and there will be ten historical battles to play through. Cross-platform play between Windows 8 devices will be supported, as will microtransactions, which can be used to "accelerate gameplay," although there isn't any information yet on how exactly that will work.

RIP AoE. Sad

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

AOE was destroyed with AOE Online. The idea and gameplay was nice but the main concept and implementation destroyed the game.

Furthermore the AOE II HD played like shit and full of lags.

so yeah. RIP AOE, maybe the best RTS of all times...

Additionally, a new civ has been announced, including a small teaser video with further information regarding the Malians and the Berbers. As well as little hints for further additions to the game.

I really like AoE2 and AoM. But i find it pretty sad, how Microshit still shits on the PC. Instead of releasing expansions for games that got released 10 years ago, they should make a new AoE for example.

Me Gusta
Any infos how long the campaign will be, or how many missions it will have?

And too bad they are not releasing any new expansions for AoE3. Despite several people not liking it, i really enjoyed it.

It'll probably be so casual, that they'd even think of putting it out on consoles. Wait ...

I also enjoyed AOE3.

I think the reason people don't remember AOE3 as fondly is that it was a solid RTS, but it didn't really innovate or bring much new to the table.

Mwah, imo.. it was a decent rts, but was a horrible age of empires. The only thing I remember fondly about it is the building damage physics, the rest was shite(from the graphics to the economy to the shitty ass small maps) Gameplay wise it had little redeeming features other then it wasnt a bad rts.

Yeah I agree, as I said it was a solid RTS but didn't really do anything new/interesting.
