What's the point of having those sensless/wizless phones?
Either samsung or htc have their os on top of android to provide best functionality of the device. With current phones haivng so much memory it's nor a big deal to install another launcher and just use it.
But option wouldnt be bad if they dont charge more for it

Everyone is rooting their phones and installing plenty other aosp systems and deodex and remove bloatware and other shit.
And especially android fanatics who get new device in it's release day and not use it for 5minutes on wiz or sense

3080, ps5, lg oled

Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"

That is only good news, stock android is much better than HTC bloatware shit.

Confused

Somehow i sense that you misread what i typed...

It's not bad to have such a phone without sense, it's bad that they have to copy samsung in what they did in order to get more sales (hopefully).
(So the copying is the bad thing i meant)

Who the fuck needs > 32 gigs, come on Smile For daily rides it's more than enough. Take flash drive if you goo into the woods for a month and connect it through OTG.

And the battery is awesome, as mentioned before. Totally on par with Iphone 5, Noote 2, SII and destroys all previous HTCs.

Bigger battery = ruined design. Can't have both.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

I am not a person that swaps phone every year....if i want to swap the faulty battery for a new one i can't. I need to send it in for repairs and pay big money for it. While, if i buy a samsung one i can buy a new battery and swap it without sending it to anyone.

That's the MAIN reason, also i am a person who keeps photo's, movies etc on a EXTERNAL SD ... so, if i need to do a factory reset or something else that i won't lose anything. If i would sell the phone people can use a program to get those photo's (files) back and see what you have stored.

Well, i'm gonna get bashed for this. But i goddamn like blinkfeed a lot!

They just ported it for my One S (still in beta, most things gotta be resized to qHD), and i really like how it works.
Shame that you can't manually add app's or feeds yet, hope they implement that..

Other then that, it runs really smooth, without any stutters. No point getting new contract this year anymore Laughing

Although it's very attractive, what with aluminum unibody and stuff, I probably won't change from One X to One Mini.

I've currently got an iPhone 4 but i'm looking to upgrade to something new and try out an android based phone and the HTC One caught my eye. When I asked around in the phone shop they said that a lot of people are returning it since apparently the battery time sucks really bad ( apparently have to charge it a few times a day), problems with the phone getting really warm and various other problems. I realize that these problems may be specific to faulty models but after googling it seems to occur for a lot of people so I'm not really sure on what to believe. I really dig the design of the HTC One and it's really appealing to me overall but I don't want to end up with a phone that gets too hot or with a really shit battery or any other problems that the model is afflicted with because of faulty design.

So what is the official word on the phone? Is it a phone with lots of troubles even tho it seems to have a great design or is it really the phone to get right now?

Hope you guys help clear out my doubts.

Thanks.

HTC UK Launches a Real Gold HTC One to Celebrate the 18th Anniversary of the MOBO Awards

"HTC UK, a leader in mobile innovation and design, today announces the release of the Gold HTC One, created using REAL gold. Produced to celebrate the 18th Anniversary of the MOBO Awards, this very limited edition phone will be presented to the winner of Best Newcomer category sponsored by HTC at this year’s ceremony in Glasgow on 19th October.

Valued at £2,750 and with only five in existence, the limited edition Gold HTC One is the most exclusive and expensive smartphone ever created by HTC. It was crafted in partnership with Goldgenie founder Laban Roomes. To achieve this luxury look, the zero gap unibody of the HTC One on the front and back is plated in 18ct gold. It is polished to give a sophisticated finish and a special MOBO 18 logo is laser etched on the rear of the device. These elements come together to create the ultimate recognition for the prestigious music awards show."

I've asked this question before when i got my first android coming from ios, however i never found a solution. So now on the HTC One i have the same problem.

How the hell do you display animated gifs??? I have tried quiet a few browser and all have similar problems. Either completely lock up and crash the browser or display without crashing but the animations are very broken and choppy, useless tbh.

Go and take a look in the Sexy selections forum and look in the latest animated gif thread it's a good test Very Happy

As proper Android user, you don't need to rely on companies their updates anyway and it's all about the hardware/build Laughing
