I compared my Ipad3 screen to the Ipad1 one and the colors and everything else looked a lot better on the ipad3. No dead pixels or yellow hue here, wifi works great Can't wait for the jailbreak to be able to fully enjoy it.. It's crap apple does that, but understandable at the same time since way too many derps are using Apple products
yeah, that is the same problem i had with all 3 primes. my ipad's wifi works fine though. at least apple is acknowledging the issue, whereas asus claims that only the gps is affected by the aluminum backplate.
edit: just did a quick speedtest on the balcony. with the prime, i got about 0.5-1 mbit there.. the ipad managed 8-9 just now.
ASUS did acknowledge the issues, dunno what you're on about. Thing is that somehow your retailer (because I'm assuming you didn't actually ship directly to ASUS, don't think that's even possible) gave you 3 of the bad revisions in a row (in other words: they suck). There's been 2 revisions since the release and both have their WiFi antennas relocated slightly.
did they? back when i had my first one at the beginning of january, they said wifi wasn't a problem.
i actually ordered from 2 different online shops, 1 from redcoon and the last 2 from amazon. i sent the first amazon model back the same day because the vibration motor was broken.. it sounded like a shaving machine -->

For the GPS issues (which is in fact a serious issue for those that want to use it) all customers can now get a GPS dongle shipped for free and new customers will receive that in the box.
I'm getting one of these as well. Through a deal with a client me and some of my colleagues are now getting 16GB WiFi ones for 400 EUR; minus taxes that puts it at 336 for me

Now that I have a legal () right to complain, Apple need to sort their shit and let Opera bring out Opera Mobile. So much better in every fucking way. Tried a few of the other alternatives, but none of them work as well as Opera (not surprising since they're still Safari technically speaking). My goddamn phones loads some webpages faster than my iPad (WiFi G vs. N, one core versus two and iOS "superiority" obviously), especially when some JS is involved.
Also, the keyboard's auto correct is aweful; not only is usability shit (tiny fucking cross to dismiss it and it's at the input field ?!), but its actual correction skills are just as aweful. Stock Android keyboard is better, let alone something like Swype (which very rarely fails to output what I meant to write).
Very satisfied with the tablet as a whole and the resolution is brilliant, but I'm still not seeing the iOS "superiority".

The Ace* players work quite well (AcePlayer, AceMusic and...AceAirAV? or something like that). Should be able to handle just about everything you throw at them.
