Look how (the big) religions started... by being persecuted etc... and look today, whenever someone insults a religion, they cry out in agony, seeing themselves as yet again victims of persecution...
What religion does, when it's in power, is a whole other thing and then you don't dare to insult it anyway, risking getting your head cut off or whatever...
Anyway, when you insult someone's religion, you are only helping their cause *insert islamophobe as an example* and any argument, good or bad, gets nullified by that.
I don't mind religions being persecuted
They are divisive by design ("us believers are better than the non-believers") and are always for the status quo. That's not to say I'm for persecuting followers of religions, as they are (most of the time) misguided/brainwashed.
But I have always doubted that those on the top of the religious food chains, like the pope in Rome or the ayatollahs in Iran, actually (still) believe in god themselves.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
This last page is intellectual blashemy in the face of our lord Ronron.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

A state like that might exists when everyone is on LSD I guess, but will not last longer than some hours. I was trying to give Ronhrin an example why his ideas will never work in whatever group of organisation.
My ideas are an example, they are not a belief of what society ought to be, and that is the point right there, the State is no more of an idea as my previous example is.
I'm not advocating an absolute theory of what humanity should be as a whole, what I'm discussing here is that there is no logical reason for we to accept the State other than by blind believe itself, because it is a human construct, an idea, it is not a fundamental of nature and the very thought of treating it as such is as ridiculous as religion itself.
All that is within our power and will of choice cannot be defined as an ought to be absolute, the very aspect that we can choose to accept or reject the State makes it flawed in it's very nature.
he ded?
