Think it will be fine though. I'm also curious how next gen next gen will be, hardware development is slowing down and I doubt they are gonna put a 500 watt GPU in the PS6.
I'm willing to bet a considerable amount it won't. Not on launch, at least.
Witcher 4 uses unreal 5 engine and no doubt they have learned. It will be fine. Just your average not all that well optimised console game. Think specs needed aren't that much higher then what we are used today.
Next gen will probably be about pathtracing I guess.
Production values are way more inportant then tech anyway these days. Cyberpunk was the last "classical" benchmark game for graphics. Attention to detail, facial animations, the acting, the world design. That's what matters, not the newest GPU tech. Devs that master those aspects are so rare (Larian, Rockstar, CD project red, think we can add warhorse to the list after kcd2) and they can only release a game once in 7-8 years.
Looks good, but do not understand you are showing gameplay, probably 2 years in advance. That is a long wait. Next year summer would have been better, when it is not coming in 2026.
Update: CD Projekt Red has confirmed to VGC that what was shown at the State of Unreal presentation today was a tech demo set in The Witcher 4 world, "but not The Witcher 4 itself".
