It's even more limited. PS4 has no hypervisor. It's more similar to the PS3 which had an hypervisor too and needed 3 points of entry.

To explain it in simple terms, 2 out of 3 needed exploits have been released publicly.
User land and kernel. As stated above a hypervisor exploit needs to be publicly disclosed to achieve a jailbreak.
Fail-overflow claimed to have full per console root key access in Nov 21, so it seems it is indeed achievable.

What? A game is a game. Unless you’re not able to download and run it locally (ie you’re forced to stream it), then what is stopping them from downloading the game, hacking it and then getting it running on a modified console? The above comments are very narrow minded imo.
(Exception being any online elements within the game of course, which I appreciate are many. But there are still many single player games which would probably be ripe for piracy?)

I don't think things have changed much in the last 20 years to be honest.
We have more live service games than ever now, but it's been the way for a long time that if you want online, you gotta go legit, and there's always lots of games that are offline or just have some online mode that you can pirate
I have changed myself and pirate a lot less but not because there's nothing to pirate, I'm just only interested in very few games compared to when I was a teen.
In regards to PS5, I don't really care about piracy, but I do want it jailbroken to play modded Bloodborne on it, and I'm hoping we could eventually get RPCS3 on there and actually have complete back compat from PS1 to PS4 on a hacked PS5, that'd be sweeter for me than any piracy (though technically downloading and playing those old PS1 or PS2 games is also piracy hmm, so let's say I don't need piracy of the latest games)
