It's most likely the RAM, as evident by my testing.

Doesn't look like the motherboard.
I just received the Corsair HX1000i PSU and put the system back in the case. With only three memory sticks, the system is stable for several days now, as well as memtest passing 8 passes (took many hours). I've reached Corsair to start the warranty replacement procedure, now that I feel pretty comfortable that the issue is with the memory stick.

Just started the “advanced RMA” process with Corsair. Have to admit, it’s pretty nice. At first they wanted me to ship all memory sticks first, get replacement later, but since that will shut my PC, the “advanced” method is pay for the new item, get reimbursed once they get it the faulty hardware back. They even set up DHL shipment on their expense. I’m not used to such niceties!

That's why I usually go with brands that have Advanced RMA.
WD, Ubiquiti and others... you don't even pay a thing. You get the option for them sending it first without any cost and it includes free pick-up by a carrier service.
I am too spoiled with that service from previous jobs so I can't go without it if I have the choice.

They charged me 500$
But whatever, they will return the money. Just replace the fucking memory and let’s hope no more issues.

Yes, it’s an international shipment, assuming to US.

Not that anyone cares, but gotta ++ that count.
Got the replacement RAM. Stable so far, with XMP. I'll run tests, and then ship Corsair their old memory. I have to admit, this was pretty painless. Was definitely not expecting this.

This makes me think. What if I start an advanced RMA with someone's 3080 serial number, and then pay for the advance RMA, and then ... have the ... original ... get lost in the mail.
