Against my better judgement I went with as @StrEagle called it the creme de la creme for AMD Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Should be here tomorrow. Only reason I ordered because I am not planning to upgrade this for at last 4-5 years. 5900X+3090 will last me plenty.

You will have to post your results if it makes a big difference over your current ram. When I was picking my parts I ended up going mostly mid high tier for the parts as I could not see paying $400+ for the MB or ram making a huge difference overall.

This is my current ram.

Seems like it's poor results compared to few benchmarks from previous pages.

you ram is running at 3000 (2x1500), which lowers your NB from the default 1800 to 1500 as it's 1:1 ratio..
try enabling XMP?

this is mine, with creme de la creme running at 2x1900:1900:1900

with these settings

as you are using the exact same kit - you should be able to match them exactly with XMP on, I have left voltages to AUTO (default)

also make sure to use latest non-beta BIOS - there were a LOT of RAM stability improvements

I haven't received new RAM yet.

That benchmark is with my current ram which is CMK32GX4m4C3000C15 with XMP on.

@PickupArtist
You ok man?
You seem mighty angry...at well everything...lately. Everything seems to deserve a tirade of an unleashed fury onslaught of criticism and condemnation.
If something slightly irks you, it turns into a spittle flinging rage rant.

I mean in general. Most your posts recently are going off on eyebrow furrowed flushed faced rants assaulting whatever you dislike about whatever is the topic.

@StrEagle

RAM is installed but when I enabled XMP Profile. PC just crashes and BIOS reverts to Standard Auto.

Not sure what else I can do? I am on 1.42 Beta BIOS.

I don't know if I picked wrong MB at the end of the day...

But it was one of the better ones available at sale price. A lot of MBs are either out or stock or have crazy mark up prices.

I will try again tomorrow to see if it starts at all. But that RAM is at QVL List for Asrock Taichi Razer Edition

before you RMA the RAM
do you have an alternative XMP profile?
on my BIOS I have XMP1 and XMP2
try switching to the other one

also does the ram run without XMP on?
is it 2 dimms or 4 dimms?

did you try the last NON beta BIOS?

ok try enabling XMP
and setting manually DRAM Voltage to 1.5V (which is the default for XMP)

the RAM is Samsung-B die and it can take it

if it still doesn't boot
try ALSO setting the speed to 3600Mhz

then it has to boot and you can check what setting are being coded from the XMP

Was it 4 matched sticked? Or did you buy seperate sets?
Sometimes unmatched pairs can not play nice on XMP.

again, did you try setting manually the DRAM voltage to 1.5V?
I read that some MB's failed to properly setup XMP voltage Laughing

Yes. I did set 1.5V Manually, tried different settings from other people also including DRAM Calculator. Nothing would want to boot at all.

It's getting returned and I think I will just go with 3600 KIT.

jesus updated bios to agesa 1.2.0.2 and couldn't achieve my memory speeds from before, and was failing mem test
then noticed that the gear down mode was disabled...
they changed the way bios works - when you force a CR - GDM is now disabled by default, used to be enabled by default
all is back to normal Very Happy

I wish I was a pro and could achieve a good oc with GDM disabled

People seem to be too obsessed with memory speed and timings on Ryzen, not sure why, ofcourse if only game you play is Aida64 then it matters.

I didn't experience any such issues with my 5950 nor 3080

my only current issue is still temp/voltage/speed reporting is odd/quirky/false

in fact I had issues with my 4770k + 1080Ti - random blues screens/nvidia driver failure when extended gaming, that are not present now and I'm oh so happy
