Shadow Drop, also known as Stealth Drop, is a term used to refer to games and other media that are released the same day they are announced or released without announcements whatsoever.
It was definitely a surprise that it got out announced and released on the same day, at least to me. I know this is a literal nothing-burger to PC players since they’ve had access to the games since forever as well as mods but this is a big deal to a console peasant even if they have just enabled grass shadows and called it a day lol

The mod looks really nice but after playing through SoC four times at this point (vanilla, vanilla ZRP, Lost Alpha, AMK Autumn 2.1) as well as hundreds of hours spent in Anomaly, I need a STALKER 2 more than anything
As for CoP, I'm keeping an eye on the updated Gunslinger mod on OpenXRay which should be out in 2024 (..maybe!)

GUNSLINGER is in public alpha still, GAMMA I sort of gave up on around ~1 year back and that utuber that released the ultrazone modpack and was going to release a winterzone modpack seems to be MIA since December:

Looks great, but does any mod fix the AI? I've played several over the years and the AI is always just really inconsistent from being superhuman to completely braindead.

^ Is there an all in one pack for tards I can download to make it look close to that so I dont have to spend hours modding the game then by the time im done I dont even want to play anymore? i've been meaning to complete Stalker for years, i just cant get past the 10 hours mark for whatever reason.
Oblivion's radiant AI is super impressive, it's just not utilized much in the game, likely because the game was released on consoles, but even for PC (at the time) it's very demanding. There are mods that takes advantage of it, like other adventurers going out in the world, and NPC's going out to hunt or to shop because they need food.
So clearly they put in the effort but later realized they had to remove much of it from the game because the FPS just tanked.

Anomaly has its own separate stories (different from the main one), however, they're mostly just there to complement the open-world sandbox which is the primary focus. Then there are all the giant extra modpacks adding goodies and/or boosting the hardcore survival aspects even further if you're into that
