yea, dtools4 will include in one of the next releases the ide jammer.
dtoolspro is a different program, more like alcohol than the previous dtools. dtoolspro will be available for customers only and will include the ide drive

It is not an IDE jammer per se. It is a Virtual IDE device. This will replace the current SCSI virtual drive DT has always used. Supposed to fool the game into thinking it is on a real IDE optical drive. This should allow real optical drives to be fully connected and no more Registry hacks should be needed. But we will see.
From what I have read DT Pro will use a similar online check like Alcohol uses. If Pro works the way it should this is one piece of software that you all should buy.

both ide jammer and ide virtual drive are coming.
ide jammer is a starforcenightmare-like tool that is coming in a near dtools4.xx release. ide jammer + scsi drive means that u can hide ide drives and play, no need to unplug phisically your drives.
ide virtual drive will be available for daemon tools pro only, and of course there's no need to disable ide drives when your virtual drive is scsi itself...

What i dont understand is....
Starforce can see your optical drives even if you disable IDE channel in Bios. I tried it myself and its true. It checks Bios and it can see you actually have CD-Rom connected but it was disabled in Bios. Thats why SFNightmare and similar tools dont work anymore. So how da hell they can write IDE Jammer software if Starforce checks Bios anyway ?

forcing bios to believe there's no drive that can be enabled/disabled. dtools ide jammer does not touch bios... guess it's enough

And how can you do that? Bios detects your hardware when your PC starts to boot BEFORE Windows or any other software started.

well the name says it all it does not disable anything ,IDE jammer will jam the signal to the IDE drives somehow ,probably it sends some kind of commands to every IDE drives so starforce cannot detect it anymore.
