Yes, i launched the game after installing and pressed the "update" button. First it installed the patch and after that the "extreme" addon

Disable your cd/dvd drives , for me for exemple master secondary off and slave secondary off.Check in bios.

updated matrix , works without unplugging drivers , just use sfn
also updated matrix , but now i get : please remove disc from ...
What am i doing wrong? how can i play matrix updated using mirror clone?
sr7 stop doesnt work either
EDIT : when i hide with sfn or all options on i dt4 i get : a required security module can not be activated...
EDIT2 : hmz , same for trackmania , updated the patch , then it was working with sfn
Now i installed, extreme edition , now doesnt work anymore :s
Do i need to do that req thingie? cause i cant unplug my drive in my laptop...

Had the same problem with The Matrix. Doesn't seem to work here once it's patched. Unpatched it does work though.
Trackmania Sunrise works fine here, also with the patches and updates applied. But since today I'm using an external USB drive (don't want to keep disconnecting the cables) so that's probably the reason why it's working. I'm glad. Now, let's see if I can get the other SF games to work.

Actually, I am just worried about SF drivers. I don't mind waiting for the IDE plugin. But I know that you can't remove teh SF drivers and play the game. So how exactly do you deal with that. I have 2 HDDs (sata. SF locked me out of an old IDE hDD on my old PC) and 2 DVD-Burner (One was almost killed by SF. No more burning for it now.).
I don't want to mess with THIS pc so how are the drivers now?

8GB RAM
AMD XFire 6950s

same thing with matriwx don't work when patched !
and need for speed don't wwork with daemon tool 4 ! the game don't launch !

i did the reg trick with deamon tools v4 where you have to go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > MountedDevices.
and i renamed the 4 cd-rom drives of deamon tools, but every time i restart the PC, the old 4 cd-rom drives are back with the old name (\DosDevices\).
The new one are there 2 but deamon tools doesnt use them. deamon only uses the old ones. so every time i restart the pc i have to do the registry trick again (rename the cd-rom drives of deamon tools)
does anyone know how i can solve this problem so that deamon tools doesnt bring the cd-rom drives back with the \DosDevices\ name?
P.S. to Bitching:
matrix works patched, i play it patched with only mounting it in deamon tools and with the registry trick.

does trackmania with extreme update patch also work with the reg trick?
edit : matrix updated works now here also with dt4 and reg trick
edit2 : trackmania still not working , not with sfn , reg trick , options on/off in dt4
ps : working on a laptop , cant unplug my drives
any solution?

I had installed DT 4 onto my PC. And I tried to run Chaos theory. But it gives me the same error insert a new cd-key. I had all emulation options turned on. But I observed that even if the option are off still gives the same error. Could you give me a help?

You have bad image. You need proper mds and mdf

I have just done something i said i wouldnt do, and thats unplug the power cable of my ide devices.
and all the starforce games work.....YIPEE
what a bind though........
oddmaker says Kingkong works nice here, nothing uplugged etc
how you manage that??
wouldnt work for me until i unpluged dvd reader and dvd writer.....
(come on daemon tools ,,,,,,,nearly there)

most probably your dvd writer isnt connected to any IDE controller.

I have an image with the .iso extension of worms 4 mayhem.
I installed daemon-tools 4, mounted the image and installed.
Then i started worms 4 and rebooted because that was nessesary.
I enabled RMPS emulation and started worms 4 and insterted the cd key.
But when i wanted to play it said i had to put the disc in another drive.
So i installed SFnightmare and disabled node and cd and did that registry trick.
Worms 4 still doesnt work, can anybody tell me what i did wrong?

Thats because your ISO disk image doesnt contain protection info, ISOS dont contain anything else but just the files of the cd, you can even open ISOS with winrar or winzip, their just compressed archives, you must get a mds\mdf from somewhere !

iso is no good for non-cracked...
and you need get rid of ide drives (take power out)

You should be able to remove your cd/dvd drive from you laptop (release clip on the underside of it?). Its actually easier to do that on a pc.
