So... Started Bloodborne few days ago. On 23rd... and I couldn't stop playing. It's an amazing game. Masterpiece. it's impossibly good. I still think I prefer Dark Souls 1 because it's more versatile(many playstyles), friendly and the world is a bit better but holy fucking shit is Bloodborne incredible and I am surprised I've learned it's maze of a city by hand.
The graphics, music, atmosphere. It's a violent labyrinth of monstrous deadly beasts in a broken city. And the whole Cthulhu thing is just so incredibly well done.
It has even more details than Dark Souls 3. Every piece of ground, wall or statue is ornamented, curved, filled with detail that maybe only Dark Souls3 can reach in some spots.
I prefer Combat in Dark souls1 and 2. This is too fast and frantic just as dark souls 3 bosses but in Bloodborne everything is super fast and You cannot protect Yourself. It's a different very interesting style. I would say refreshing and fitting the theme even though I prefer slower, turtled DS style. In Bloodborne, even after "mastering" it, I felt like some bosses were just a lucky shot since they were so frantic, camera so fucked and everything exploding with lighting or fire. But You learn to dodge, use faster, shorter sword when needed and get covered in sweet blood.

So I've played with ludwig sword(after switching from axe after amelia) and hit +10 on it as soon as it was possible. About level 80.
I've beaten the nurse and went onto a DLC only now. Only gehrman left now after I beat old hunters.
So far I've just acomplished this. The music for this fight was fucking crazy. The fight itself a bit too frantic. I've done it with npc summon.
that is 30 hours in and I am around 1/2 hours into DLC. How I;ve managed to do 55hours in my first Dark Souls playthrough is beyond me as this game seems larger but I've not played DS in a long time too. Just remember it took me 25 hours when I replayed it.
I've uncovered almost every area in main game. After checking with wiki, I've missed only castle Cainhurst but after reading how to get there, I've done that yesterday. Kinda surprised I was able to find everything else myself. Secrets are much more reasonable than DS games where it's impossible that someone would know to break illusory wall in some place.
Also - quests I've finished:
-Crow - that fucker in grand chapel was tough. I had to turtle with led elixir.
-That prostitute lady I think. She gave birth to cthulhu thing so I killed them. This was kinda shocking and sad moment.
-Alfred/cainhurst quest. That idiot went full crazy on that throne lady
-And that's all.. fucking Beggar killed everyone else before I've noticed lol.

My fav moment in the game is probably an early game, until the night sets in. Especially Cleric Beast fight. He just surprises You in the amazingly beautiful Victorian setting and then the fantastic music hits. No bullshit, no specific mystery or high level play, weapons. It's You, beast, amazing bridge setting, music, gun, simple weapon and molotov cocktails. This is the highpoint of the game.
Same for Amelia - her intro is amazing. You see her shadow exploding with blood and say "holy shit, I am dead" and the music hits. It's a nice dance, although a but frantic. it's people turning into beasts. it's what order 1886 shit marketed itself as lol.
The Ludwig fight was also great but only because of music timing, cutscenes and "head".
Then, the whole game was also amazing but in a different way - it kinda lost it's victorian, beast hunter vibe and went cosmic crazy mystery route which I also liked but kinda hoped it would be simple "warewolf hunter" gunpowder and melee weapons game. Sure, there is no "magic" but there is really.
I mostly liked when it was a night of the hunt, when people turn into beasts and other hide in their homes. But what they done was good nevertheless.

Yup and I don't have it - I remember taking advantage of the free period so I could ring the bell for someone to help with that bitch of a lady Maria, barely defeated her.
That different moon presence is damn weird, man. I fought it yesterday in the chalice dungeon and it has some pretty good moves.
I wonder if it's an alternative original form that was scrapped or a second form after something happens that never made it in?
Or just a chalice version of it?
It reminds me of the winter lanterns (singing) which are apparently mutated dolls. (failed experiments, or remnants of old hunter's dreams)
Perhaps this too is a mutated version of a moon presence that became like that when they failed to create a hunter's dream with it.
It looks partially like a plant and there's that huge tree in the middle of the hunter's dream...
I love the world and lore, men. Bloodborne is the best.

Ok ... I've had it enough with Maria... fuck her in the butt. She has like 20k health and her attacks instakill You(or almost) from behind or any direction across the whole arena. She just very quickly "warps" and have this huge swiping attacks. Just wtf, this is stupid and unfair...
So I've said fuck it, went ahead killed Gehrman and apparently Moon presence. Gehraman was a fucker but it took me 3/4 tries. He also had this huge swping attacks all around him but at least he did not jumped around whole arena. Moon skeleton was rather easy. Lead potion and you can just whack at him. And apparently they don't ask if You want to go to ng+ like in Dark Souls2... they just started ng+. So now I will never fuck Maria in the butt

You can dodge everything as usual, just need to work on the timing.
I'm not especially good I think and I managed to beat her at level 40 with a Maria cosplay character. Probably my biggest accomplishment :P
I coop with that character from time to time and wreck stuff for people with the +10 Rakuyo. It's great fun!
Maybe overlevel a bit in chalice dungeons or something and fuck her in the butt in NG+!

Nope. Only ludwig and failures. Then I locked myself out. But I did all the bosses in main game. Optional too. Maybe I will do it one day.
For as much praise as dlc got I did not enjoyed it that much. It was cool until ludwig and his music but meh later.
Artorias still the best dlc.

And maria is awesome... I dunno why you hate her. She's not unfair. Just new moves you have to adapt to like with any other boss, just some come more easily to some people than others.
Great music, great moves, great style. Love the boss arena where she shatters all the chairs and shit.

Maria is a spammy unfair lady with thousands of hp. Her attacks take my whole health bar and my attack take like a pixel

the game had been foundable for like 5$ now, even on PSN during some sales... That's also why pirating old games isn't that amazing considered you can't play new ones (that is, considering you could even play these...)
