So not enough money to buy the RS170 AND the DXG at the same time (€12,- short Sad ), so best off buying the RS170 now and a better soundcard in due time? Rather than the RS160 and DXG right now?

Tho i do still have this old thing lying around:

 Spoiler:

But i guess it's not much better (or even worse), then my onboard ?

Yeah, not much point in doing that. Just buy the soundcard when you can, I doubt you'll notice any quality difference between the silly USB thing and the onboard anyway Smile

Why the 170 and not 160 btw? Because of the charging base?

Honestly, no idea. I looked at the 170 and 180, with the 170 being within budget (ain't paying ~€30,- more for open headphones).

But i thought as much about the soundcard.
I mean it prolly is a tiny bit better, but so far, drivers of the thing are like vanished from the webs Neutral

Yeah, it's quite ancient Razz

Again though, looking at the specs on paper for the HDR 160 and 170 (the headphone part of the RS series), they're literally identical in terms of audio properties. It's the base where they differ and that mostly seems to be a matter of power; the TX 170 is more powerful and has longer range. Tradeoff is mobility, the TX 160 can actually be battery powered too for mobile use Razz

Well i was just looking at the RS 160 and it seems that it doesn't have that extra bass and surround feature (unless i overlooked it).
One thing i don't like about the RS 160 is that even tho it needs a cable in the headphone, you can't use it while charging.. (which is the same with the 170, but since you NEED to put the headphone on top of the base station it was kinda obvious).

Now i donno if these 2 features (the reach length of 20 meters on the 160 is more than enough for me, so that's no factor) are worth the extra money i have put into it, and i'm seriously temped in returning this one and getting the 160..

Well I personally don't like heavy bass (so that's one you have to make your own mind up about) and the surround feature is not actually surround; it's an equaliser effect that makes things sound more spacious, I recommend leaving that turned off. I didn't like it when I tried these things at least.

As far as the charging goes; instead of putting them on the stand, you just gotta make it a habit to plug them in when you go to sleep Smile

Didn't know you already got them though; how do you like them so far?

Yeah ordered Thursday and got the on Friday.

They are ok, but not worth the money i payed for the 170 at least.
I do however still hear a buzz sound, and googling this is due to KLEER >.>

So yeah, i'm just gonna swap these for the 160 and sound card. ~€110,- is more than enough for something like this.
Shame that i still would have the problem that they are just a little too small for my ears, after hours session they kinda hurt a little on my ears Sad

That's only on extremely low volumes (or when nothing is being transmitted), but yes, it's because of how Kleer works.

The quality of the sound itself is much better than any regular RF transmitter or Bluetooth though.

I solved the problem by lowering the sound on the headphone by about 50% and increased my source (al tho i rather keep my source on ~50%, because some games are damn loud at start and blow out my eardrums Neutral ).

Well fuck You. I've tried to recommend a bunch of stuff. I did a lot of reading on headphones recently. best headphones for less thatn 100$ is CAL!. 5.1 is bullshit and if You really want it xonar cards do it and not a shitty headsets. SpykeZ says the same thing and he knows his stuff.

You don't answer "fuck you stupid asshole" to a guy who tries to help You... thats just rude

Besides... There are 4 models in evo headline, silly sausage. Don't need to get zx. SOund blaster evo wireless also have great mic, detachable cable and is wireless.

SO stick that 75 up Your ass and spare it Laughing
You live in reach country anyway (relatively) so what is 75 euro for a folk like you. 75euro is how much I make in 35 hours. How long does it take YOu to earn that kind of money (just offtopic non harm question)

Plus i have already made my mind (as you could read..), so why would you try to convince me to buy some all-in-1 nonsense when others are trying to convince me to get otherwise?!

Had it been anyone cursing at you like that you would've gone mental. Your ignorance in that one post is mind blowing, seriously.

I'm not angry, I just think you're ignorant about the rest of the world - once more, just because the average paycheck here is higher than in Poland, does not make everyone richer, as things are also *much* more expensive here. You know absolutely jack shit about what things are like here (in particular for saus) - we don't live in Nirvana, if I showed you my bills you wouldn't be crying as much as you are. I also think it's unfair that you get to treat saus like that (even if it is just on the internet), yet all hell breaks loose the second someone goes against you in a much more civil manner.

Every time I've gone against you I've tried to reason with you without calling you names, yet here you are, starting off your post with "fuck you" in a discussion you have not even been following. This discussion in fact concerns me much more than you, since I'm the one who's been recommending shit to him that is still within his budget.

Quote:

Erm, I think you may want to look up what ignorant means. We're not ignorant about you; at least I'm not. I very well know that you have a job that makes pretty shit money even by Polish standards. We also very well know that you like motion blur, don't get motion sickness from FoV and we know some of your sexual preferences (Cool Face).

You're the one who always presents shit as if they're facts and the same for everyone; even if that may not be your intention. And you just did that again.

If someone doesnt have that much spare money, why even try to convince them to buy shit like sound blaster, its gonna be best bang for the buck or nothing (tho sound blaster headsets atleast will make bang, in a bad way).

And yes KC, before you come to say how good the Aurvana Live ones are, i know, but they are not Sound Blaster even they say so.

It's hard not to behave ignorant about other countries when You live in shitty country like Poland... I know its not so red roses in other nfohump countries, but It's so hard not to think like that...
I don't want to sound ignorant again btw. Just saying.

Our Polish mentality makes us think that everywhere is better than home. And indeed its very difficult to live for 400euro a month. And it's not a kid salary or anything. My parents have 300euro each. I am superior to them because I earn 400 and have a far superior contract... that is, I have a full on contract with "permanent status". My parents and sister all have month by month contracts for shitty money. and those contracts don't have any benefeits and do not count towards retirement. On full contract, I cant be dismissed without 2months of warning(or salary), I have cash bonuses for christmass and other occasions and even a free unlimited swimming pool tickets, gym etc etc.
The point is... Its hard not to be ignorant seeing all this shit around me. People getting actually used and enforced by terrible law and their employers. I just keep thinking that it MUST be better for example, In sausje homeland. He at least might have a future. I don't even own a car because buying some 10yo terrible shit, costs my yearly payment.

So I consider myself lucky even tho my payment is low even by Polish standards. Thankfully I am doing a II degre at my univ and hope it will be easier to find a good work as IT master graduate.

OK that is WAY offtopic.

Sorry to all offended Wink

and that creative evo wireless costs half of my monthly salary Laughing

@Breezer_ As far as I know CAL! are only creative headphones even considered by audipphilles and that already is something

Not gonna start this talk about my financial situation (again..), talked about it more then enough before, if you want more info, i suggest you search.

Last thing i'm gonna say about it is that while you can look at statistics, charts etc etc about the Netherlands. It doesn't mean that if the country is a good one that the people in it will be good as well.. it's only a rough sketch taken from a small percentage from the whole population.
So yeah, i'm well below the average earner.. i have 75% of minimal wage here that i have to come by from, while paying virtually the same for monthly stuff as anyone else with 100% or higher has to (yeah i get a few tax decutions, but nothing major).
€40 in the week is left after all monthly payments, a single dinner for a single person costs me around €~5-9 to make per day (depending on what i make and what i still got in the house)..
I'm forced to eat ONCE a day, because i just don't have enough money to do more groceries..

So yeah, even tho you might earn less, things costs shittons lesser there as well, that i know for a fact, even spoke today with my granddad (who moved to Poland last year) about it on the phone.

And btw, you, your mom and dad earn about €1000 combined, that's 250% of your minimal wage per person over there.. and you complain Laughing

charts are always different than real dead... according to Poland charts, average wage here is about twice as I have Laughing

Still. Living with my parents is ok. We are not doing great, but its good. It's life on my own, I am afraid of.

Things are even better now, even tho im living alone in my expensive apartment (with my dog Very Happy). Im glad that i left everything behind and moved to big city, even tho it was sad to leave friends etc..

Sorry to derail things a bit mate, this whole "OMG NL SO RICH!1!1!!!" shit from some people just annoys me when I know the situation you're in - and you're not the only one in this country by far. I just happen to have met you so when I see this nonsense on here I get a little defensive, because I have two relatives in similar situations Smile

And KC, you really would not want to live here; without paperwork you wouldn't get shit here and you'd be worse off than in Poland. It's not just you, there are others on the hump who are much more annoying about it. I've said it dozens of times before and I'll say it again, it's not as black and white as "YOU RECEIVE MORE MONEH". The world doesn't work that way.

Also, who the Fak cares about how rich or poor someone is. If he sets a budget for himself when buying something, he must have a reason to do so and doesnt need to be questioned. Rolling Eyes

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
