as i said earlier not bothered about playing online.. the ap2.5 games i seens so far are nfs, ac:bh which im not bothered bout neither...

I'd recommend installing the dash while you've got the chance, before MS change it for the new one. You can install LT+ (not 1.1, Plus) any time.

Is there a place besides Digiex that hosts XBLA trials and X360 demos? I'm searching for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Renegade Ops, witch aren't on Digiex. :/

I have a question. I just bought a new 360 during the sales. I wish to flash it and was wondering if my console gets banned will I lose all DLC too? Also about being banned, if I simply buy the games I wish to play online would I still risk being banned if I never play a burned game online?

can i install dash without any fear of or getting in trouble. been over a year since the 360 got updated so i have no clue where to start. i dont know which version im on dashboard wise nor which firmware version i got on my dvd drive (i believe its a lite-on i remember them regarded the best a few years ago) are the guides in the main post still relevant ?
im totally lost and would appreciate some help as where to start.

yes. Thats not a problem at all.
For all I recall You can just put the key in jungleflasher manually.
So: Connect console to xbl and let it update. it will proboably just reflash Your drive to stock and install metro dash. Now just flash it to new firmware with jungleflasher and voila !
Tho you WILL need ihas burner to burn xgd3 lt3 games

Hmm, I kinda figured about the iHas burner. I was hoping to just truncate my games for now... but I foresee that being an issue sooner or later (not least of which is the inability to install) God fucking damn it. Oh well, better than nothing I guess. Thank you.

I am not sure about truncating last few new games, but It totally worked for me about month ago when I still didn't had ihas. Ofc no installing when truncating so jet engine...

I can't find a single tutorial about reflashing my drive that doesn't specifically state that it needs the probe. Bah. Does anyone have a link to a complete tutorial for flashing LT1.x installed drive (well it won't even be that, MS will flash back to stock on Metro dash) with JUST the drive key and NO hardware?

The last guide I remember using was the one from Jungleflasher. It was very easy to navigate and provided in-depth info. Got my drive successfully update from LT 1.6 to LT+ 2.0. But aren't you going the RGH way now?

I only have polish tutorial..
If its flashed already i think You only need to connect drive to pc with sata cable and reflash, pulling drive power cable out and in the right moment.
maybe try looking on www.xbox360iso.com for tutoria. They have everything there

Like I said mate, the guide specifically states that connectivity/probe kits are required. It doesn't even have a section for anything without those :\ And no, sadly, I received some bad news and I won't be able to afford the glitch.

Yeah, but it *won't* be flashed already, will it? Once I install that Metro bullshit it's just going to flash my drive back to stock, which means the probe will be required again - no?

Sigh. It will flash my 78450c to 02510c, which means - if I'm not mistaken - to flash LT3.0 over that I will need the probe/kit right? Wrong? Urgh, forget it. I don't care. fuck it. thanks anyway.

guise, also. I've found out that there is a possibility to enter code at console status screen in preferences (where console serial is) and then 360 asks if I want to restart to factory defaults.
So what is the difference between that factory reset and format+initial setup option?
Also. Can I move my gamertag to different email account ?

I honestly don't know what the difference is between factory default and initial setup, just that factory default requires the serial number of the current HDD attached (which you can find from console info page) -- and as far as I know, you can change the LiveID (email address) attached to the Gamertag by simply going to your account info settings.

No no, you can't reset your machine without the HDD serial -- it will ask you when you try to reset. You can get the HDD serial from the console info page, just write it down to save hassle when you reset to factory. I'm still not sure what the difference is though.

How 'tight' is tight for money? You can pick up RGH'd Falcon console's, which boot instantly, for £100.
That come's with a power pack and usually a 20gb HDD.
I'm not as clued up in the whole firmware scene anymore, RGH/Jtag all the way really in my point of view. Game's, XBLA, DLC, Emulator's...

The price-gouging on the B-model iHas drives is fucking ludicrous though -- the drive usually sold for between £14.99 and £16.99, depending where you shop, only NOW they're selling for £29.99 and £39.99. Not to mention the sadistic fucks that are selling them pre-flashed with LTMax --- for £100+ Fucking INSANE.
Anyone know? It wasn't when I last checked about 6 months ago, however I am sure I remember Sabin said the community was expecting it soon...?
