There is nothing wrong with the <operating system>, if you just wanna enjoy it for what it is? Bugs aplenty, sure, and no magical patch will fix them, ever! But a good ride it is, and a solid 8.5/10 from me. Everything is gonna get 'moaned' about now, it's the way of this world today, self entitlement brat nonsense, ya know, and most coming from those who ain't even spent a penny on the damn thing!
Never listen to the cunts on here, or anywhere, lol, as most don't have good hardware to run it on regardless, so they are off to a bad start anyway, and will diss the <operating system> for that reason alone, although, never admit it Use the <operating system> and decide for yourself. It's pretty fun

2019 LTSC hardware activated on this system, thus no problems so far with this Yup, 2021 LTSC will do for me, for next 5 years, at least. Going smooth as fuck ATM. All normal, Defender removed, updates permanently disabled, no shit Store, imaged and saved, and it will stay like that till I see fit.
WinShit11 will be long dead by then

Of course. Had done so on Pro beforehand. Never will I let this shit update, EVER! A Year I was on 19042.685, and not an update passed my door Make the image, lock it down, install, leave it be. Anything goes wrong?, return to said image in seconds Great for these bloated driver updates that are shit. Any you wish to keep?, add to image, rinse, repeat Security updates?, lol!!, bullshit!, never needed them, and certainly not from MS.
I do my own security thanks.

there is some kind of bug in 21H2, it's also happening on LTSC 2021 and im kinda scared, that it won't get patched on LTSC 2021 in the future. so for me it seems like LTSC is not an option this time.
when you drag the "cpu-z" windows on the desktop around, the movement will be delayed, some kind of lag or so. i noticed the same for the nvidia control panel, but just for an hour or so, then it was gone. cpu-z on the otherhand always does it, even on my laptop with nothing installed but just a fresh windows 10 21H2 install.
other people reported this problem too on MDL. you can resolve it by lowering the mouse polling rate to 500, but this ain't a fix, just a quick workaround.
i don't give a shit about cpu z, but after seeing it also on the nvidia control panel for a short time, it probably can happen to every other program too.

I can't reproduce this, just tried CPU-Z 1.95 and 1.98 and NVCP and there is no lag moving the window around on Enterprise 21H2. Polling rate is at 1000hz.

what can be the reason then? it happens only on 21h2, all versions of it, on multiple pcs and laptops with different chipsets, cpus and graphic cards. fresh install, fresh install just with drivers, fresh install with drivers and shit removed and so on. all tested.
and im not the only one reporting this. apparently this was also a bug on 2004 already, which got fixed with an windows update and now seems to be back.
why am i and others getting it (like i said on multiple pc's) and others not.
don't you use a mouse with a polling rate of 1000? if i use and cheap office mouse or the build in trackpad there is no dragging at all and the dwm.exe is not using so much cpu.
also tested it with multiple gaming mice, logitech, razer, steelseries, zowie, all of them got the problem as soon as i use them with a polling rate of 1000.

As long as you don't play very recent games that require the latest versions of Windows 10 (1903 and forward) it's a good choice if you want stability and lack of bloat.

What GPU and driver are you using in LTSC?

What GPU and driver are you using in LTSC? |
gtx 970, latest drivers, also tested older 47x.xx drivers i had installed before on ltsc 2019. windows had this bug before on version 2004 and it's happening on all my systems. why isn't it happening for you guys? have you done a clean install like i did?
like i said i can't reproduce it anymore with the nvidia control panel, don't know why it was happening, but the dwm.exe was using more and more cpu while dragging the window around, just like it is with cpu-z all the time.
happening on 21h2, home, pro, education, enterprise, ltsc. amd and nvidia systems, laptop or desktop no difference. as soon as i use a trackpad, an normal office mouse or go back to ltsc 2019 the problem is gone.

hey there...
i see the new LTSC is released...
anyone can tell me if its the same as good old 1809 LTSC?
is there more bloat? what about Edge, can i remove it on ISO level without having problems in Windows? why i ask, usually MS has depentencies with it like it did with IE.
anyone also tried LTSC IoT? from what i read they should be the same but IoT gets 10 year support..
what about support for older hardware? i know its not win11, but did they change any min. requirements?
aaaand final question can i just upgrade? i know, i know, a clean install is allways best and recommended but oh dear am i lazy AF at the moment. Also, im not sure how to backup all my tweaks i did.. seems a lot of work, haha..
backing up Registry changes
services
startup
GPEdit settings
sheduled tasks
all the Fun stuff
so, is it a option to Upgrade? or do i have to do a clean install?
Thanks

Running LTSC IoT ATM, it HWID activates with correct tool Doesn't come with ShitStore, and is basically Win10 H2 with a 10 year guarantee, so this is good if you have no intention of using that turd called 11?, which I certainly do not. It's more bloated than 1809, but hey, what isn't from MS these days?
Edge you can just disable permanently, although I wouldn't recommend removing it, as these fuckwits tie certain things to it in system, so its guaranteed to break something down the line if you do.
Services, GPEdit, and Tasks can all be backed up, but again, not recommended, as they are very different from previous version.
I still ran it through NTLite to remove most of the shit, Defender etc, and you can find my thread on said forums, with tweaks/discussions, and what not to remove/disable
As for upgrading?, dunno?, but I wouldn't go there, as its just asking for more trouble.

I hate w10 store, especially that it keeps showing all shitware which i removed long time ago. So my question, if I disable the w10 store, will the already installed apps keep being updated? Only app I am interested is Debian which I installed through the w10 store. All the rest I do not care about. Anyone able to confirm? It s for my laptop from my work...
