Can anyone recommend me a software to get the clock on my second monitor? Switching taskbars or primary screens when i watch tv or movies is too much of a hassle. I'd rather have the clock on both screens at all times.

is there a way to switch between single/multi monitor mode with a shortcut or something? (without installing any customize windows tools)
i'm really tired of using the charmsbar for switching between pc screen only and extend on tv.

like add one shortcut to the startmenu or something like that.

It doesn't work well with 3 displays for example. I use three profiles:

Main Screen only - Seat gaming, internet browsing, etc.
Main+Secondary (dualscreen) - work
TV Only - couchgaming, tv/movies

If you require something like this too, I recommend BinaryFortress DisplayFusion. I set three hotkeys to switch the profiles (Ctrl+WinKey+Alt+1/2/3) and also disabled confirmation prompt in advanced options of the program (else it would revert to previous profile unless you press a confirm button within 10 seconds or so, which was annoying when I switch to TV that I don't see from where my keyboard/mouse is)

My stupid Win 8.1 Enterprise decided to unactivate itself :S I am getting error about KMS service. Weird thing is that both my Office and Win got this unactivation stuff at the same time :\

I tried every key I have (from my MSDNAA days when I originally got the win), nothing. Bizarre...

Is there any reason not to upgrade win 8.0 to 8.1?

I keep getting the message to upgrade for free but i'm hesitant as win8 is running perfectly.

You can disable that msg... http://www.askvg.com/how-to-disable-update-to-windows-8-1-for-free-notification-in-windows-8-store/

For me it brought some issues with tweaks i did and broke startisback crack for me and had to buy it. I did regret updating, since i did it for a game.. but for me personally, 8.1 didn't bring anything over 8 worth mentioning.

I used method 1 i'll see how that goes. Windows is running nice at the moment so i'll leave well alone.

I got a new PC and unsurprisingly I can't boot win 7 from my old disk, it restarts itself and Startup Repair doesn't fix it.

Now I'm downloading win 8.1 pro to create a bootable USB with it. Will I then be able to upgrade my broken win 7 to 8.1 and keep my user files? Avoiding a format?

I googled around and it seems people are supposed to load the ISO and go through the Windows Upgrade wizard that pops up, but obviously I can't do that. Any insights?

Apparently my license for win 8.1 is ending, I didn't even realize I had a license, it keeps giving me a message. I have no idea what release I installed and whether I did something to activate it or not. Is there an easy way to reactivate it?

KMSpico, my friend Smile Make sure you only get it from MyDigitalLife, else you run the risk of getting a dodgy piece of shit infected copy from unscrupulous dicks.

Explain a little how its worse right now? Sure spying on what you may like to do/buy/ etc is a fucking annoying, but what really is the problem here? Is it because oh we have shit monitored and data sent back to wherever so lets jump on the band wagon and call the OS complete shit, or do you really have other grave concerns that this might be detrimental to you playing your games etc.

I also have to ask folk, when you watch TV ( lol who does that these days ) and adverts come on inbetween shows or films do you rush out to buy what you see advertised? It is not much different really.

I hate adverts personally and have never bought anything from commercial advertising on t.v - I think only the week minded are taken here so as long as the OS is running fine, which for me it is flawless no matter what its doing so far I don't see what the fuss is about.
Turn it off with tools, stop bitching and whining about it and move on, because lets face it in few mnths time you all would of forgotten about this to an extent and be using windows 10 like it was slipping on your favourite pair of shoes in the morning.

What i think is annoying, those spying updates are labeled as important, no explanation about what it does.

It would be ok if they made clear what the update was and didn't try to sneak some simular update later.

Before it wasn't spying on you.
Now it does.

There. It's worse now.

What are you talking about? Nobody thinks that adverts on TV can spy on you. It's two different things. We also understand why there are ads - it's how TV content gets made.

If there wasn't bitching and whining Win10 would have shipped with the same tablet interface Win8 shipped or even worse.
