Just caught up with this new track that I heard for a Lumia 925 mobile phone. However, the video for this song has a lady who can quite easily be the closest thing to a real life Madison Paige.

I know that I signed up basically for an interactive movie but still everyone keeps telling NOT to play this game and don't waste my time with it..wtf...

the thing with this game was , well it was originally a story about a father that lost his son in a car accident , his son dies but he gets a head injury giving him psychic powers connecting him to a killer , when he dreams he is in the mind of the killer and dwells in the killers memories ... father turns into a hunter to stop him using his psychic link to him
each game was to be different , each time the killer was to be one of your characters picked at random , the player did not knew who was it, but only the dreams of the father would tell you...
and then they CUT IT ALL
[its starts at 1:10]
dreams are cut , leaving a HOLE THE SIZE OF A GALAXY in the story line when the father wakes up in some other place with a bloody origami in his hand ,
Page back story that explains WHY SHE SUFFERS FROM INSOMNIA WAS CUT [seen at 4:19]
and so on and so on
not to mention this game has the biggest patches in the history of consoles right after Grand Tourism , simple put they just did not care about the finished product
the only version you should get is the Directors cut MOVE version that is fixed and has 20% of content they cut from the main game added back but still not enough to make this story not a cluster fuck , like it is
and to dwell more : the hatred came because this game was broken , you needed 2 patches [1,5 gig of data] and that the game was changed from its main concept of a random generated game story line with a random killer to a cluster fuck of broken mess story line
the only saving grace this game has today and why many say its great are those GRAPHICS and MOTION CAPTURE ... thats it
but still its hard to wash the awful taste of bugs this game has , just google for it and you get like millions of videos showing different stages of cluster fuck
Only issues I had with this game was it freezing once in a while, but most likely because of booting it from dev_hdd0 instead of the real bluray... On 1.00 that is.
Director's Cut doesn't add 20% to the game, nor does it add anything to the main storyline, it just adds the Taxidermist DLC and BTS movies, which you can get in the Move Edition or you can buy it from PS Store. It's not part of the main storyline at all and it's only 15min of gameplay...
The final patch of this game is so big because it adds Move content...
I just finished this. 10/10. GOTY 2013 imo (only 3 years behind). I guess, I went with generic good ending and kinda dissapointed with it, but only because it was TOO good.
I will replay the game couple of more times and try to get different ending.
The music and the entire atmoshpere was pretty amazing during entire time. I can't wait to start playing Beyond: Two Souls in a few days!

I googled the director's cut and could only find that it adds move support (which was also patched into the original I believe), the DLC and some extras like videos and dynamic themes.
Is there actually any new gameplay or fixes? Can anyone confirm?
I only ever played the original version, but today I replayed Fahrenheit and now I feel like playing Heavy Rain again.
So now I'm wondering if I should buy the Director's Cut or stick with my vanilla game.

Haha, it doesn't add anywhere near 20% - as you said, it's just the first episode of a planned series of DLC called "The Taxidermist". Sadly Sony also shelved the rest of the DLC so they could concentrate on shoehorning MOVE support into the game and then... well... *shrug* nothing after that, they just went to work on Beyond. It's not even that much content either, you can easily fly through it in less than 20 minutes, but with five endings you're encourage to replay it.
Damn, that's too bad. Would have loved to see some more content for the main game..
From the way hfric described it it sounded like they re-added cut content to the main game, fixed plot holes and such stuff
But oh well, I'm sure I'll enjoy it anyways.

Yeah, same here bud.. HR is one of my absolute favourites and was the PS3 system seller for me But no, no new content and certainly no "fixing" of anything in the base game either
