Gamers should never be forced to purchase the same game twice or pay for upgrades. Owners of #Cyberpunk2077 for Xbox One will receive the Xbox Series X upgrade for free when available.
I wonder if this will turn into a normal practice as we transition to the next generation.
Also interested on what Sony would bring to the table. Those specs above are impressive, but I'm still not convinced that Microsoft have the "exclusive" and executive power to win the next generation.

I wonder if they believe their own bullshit, because they'll probably have no worry about you paying for a PC version and a console version.
Sony has recently patented an accessory that serves as a power bank for DualShock controllers but without taking away controller functionality from the user.
According to the recently granted patent, a wireless charging adapter with a housing can be attached to a DualShock controller.

Who cares though....PC version is always available at no extra cost
Coronavirus is likely to have a major short-term impact on the delivery of both systems. There is a strong likelihood one or both systems will not make a 2020 launch. If the systems do launch, supply will likely be constrained and initial pricing could be higher than expected.
Currently, the economy is in an unprecedented state of uncertainty. Even if the situation clears up in a few weeks, the ability to manufacture and release a high-end new game system has already been severely impacted.
No surprises there, unfortunately. However, I cannot see there having been many killer games at launch anyway, and the chances of such even more reduced right now. Therefore, probably not the end of the world.
Tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time, PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny will provide a deep dive into PS5’s system architecture, and how it will shape the future of games.

Unlikely. Barely any PC can run games in 4K@60FPS so target will be 4K@30fps for really taxing games and 4K@60FPS for simpler games...
Other than that yeah all 1080p games will probably run at 60fps and that's about it. Sadly seems this gen is betting on 4K rather than anything. Which is fine but only if you have a 4K TV.
I too am afraid that they will bet on 4k resolution more than on framerate. Here's hoping that AI upscaling ala DLSS 2.0 takes off on consoles then we could have both
Desperation from Microsoft, if true. Again, their system is let down by the lack of exclusive AAA titles. If Sony start PS5 pre-orders on the back of TLOU 2 they'll win this hands down.
We'll get the PS5 Pro and Xbox Series XX for 4K 60fps lol ...
So? Are the consoles your principal gaming platform or have some neat PCs as well?
EDIT: oh crap, misread the post, PRO and XX, sorry.
lol Im a console peasant. Used to be a PC gamer about 10 years ago but couldn't be doing with upgrading all the time. I barely have time for PS4, Xbox One X and Switch without PC as well!

Supporting his lack of time, he is still trying to complete Dark Souls 3 DLCs after all these years
