Using YASU defeats the main purpose of vIDE, which is bypassing versions of Securom and Starforce that search for IDE drives and want to use them only, because YASU also masks those (example Hitman Blood Money v1.2)

Make sure you removed regular DT (4.10 or so) from your system, and make sure you have no SCSI drives anymore (Even though the last one might not be necessary).

i tired that vIDE as well. it doesnt do shit. more laugh at the fools who paid. the vIDE drives are prolly just the same as the old SCSI virtual drives with a new name

Hm, I tried everything, but can't get the L33VaNcL33F version to work.
Uninstalled the original D-tools that was on my system (even searched the registry and deleted the apropriate entries), rebooted, instaled the Pro, copied the patch into the directory, applied patch successfuly, but every time I try to start the application itselt, it crashes with the good ol' error detected window. The Agent itself works like a dream and can add/remove SCSI drives with ease, but the thing is, that I can't use IDE drives without the actual interface, becasue the '"add IDE drive" is greyed out at start.
Tried the solution about localized windows, but apparently even that I'm using a localized version, the documents folder has the english names, so there shouldn't be a problem about placing the necessary files in the wrong place.
Any ideas would be welcome.

YASU has been updated again to take care of the latest blacklists, now at version 8111.
Previous version was 8102 which fixed some minor bugs and that version (8101) is available on GCW, I guess it leaked or something as it doesn't seem protected.
(Only Daemon Tools customers have access to it by default but I suppose someone uploaded it.)
EDIT:
NWN2: Storm of Zehir.
No problems but worked with 8102 as well.
EDIT:
Drakensang 1.02
Works now, previously detected DT Pro and blocked YASU.
EDIT:
Far Cry 2 1.01
Works, same issues as with Drakensang previously.

Updated version of DTE, if possible ignore the USB "loader" or what it is (Don't use it at all under x64 OS's and W7 even if it's x86/32-bit.) and be sure to read the little NFO that comes with it for instructions about the utility. (And some reasons why not to use the little USB loader.)

The person behind YASU atleast works with the Daemon Tools team, or so I've heard.
(DTE seems a bit more vague, I prefer YASU myself as it's a bit cleaner or how to describe it, but if it works it works and YASU development seems to have slowed down a bit for various reasons plus that the author is working on that 0men program that appears to be the follow up to YASU.)
About DT Lite just install SPTD 1.60 first (Link above.) and then install the program, should work just fine.
Alcohol also works but I don't know much about the program 120% is basically the bigger version with the 52% version working as a sort of virtual disc drive from what I know (similar to DT Lite and the various comercial versions), both now use the SPTD service as well but should be fully Windows 7 and x64 compatible with the latest SPTD driver version installed.
(Make sure to uninstall 1.5x versions before installing the OS however, albeit it's possible to do afterwards but somewhat more complicated.)

EDIT: Also YASU development and the upcoming 0men utility appear to both be cancelled from what I can see on the DT Forums, seems to be due to some disagreement between the author and the DT team.
