Are there any SX exclusives coming out in the next 6 months that make the system worth owning?
nope only half arsed game pass games which couldn't be sold as a full price game. it's really the netflix of games.
i hope the medium will be good, but you can also play it on pc. doubt it will be worth to buy a console just because of this one game, even if you don't got a pc.
I think MS pretty much said (and if you look at what platforms their games release on the last couple years) that every Xbox game will be on PC day one...
So.. got a good PC? like playing on it? then no reason to buy an Xbox.
I decided to move from PC to only consoles for now so having XSX with Game Pass is very nice.
It’s cool and all but it also forces people to pay for the services to play games they wouldn’t play otherwise (and usually for only 5 min).
So it sometimes makes you think it is a bargain while you actually force yourself to play a game you wouldn’t play...
Not surprised that headshot think it is amazing, since he buys every games and barely finish them, it is the perfect deal for him. Same reason why for some people PS+ is amazing because you have an illusion of having free games.
But for people that are usually overwhelmed by endless games thanks to piracy (and never finish them) it is kinda useless because you then are in the same situation of never finding the time for finishing games.
I’d say for me the only purpose would be to quickly play and finish a MS game I would have bought full price (aka none since I’m not a forza/halo/gears fan).

You are right but for people that don’t can’t find the time to finish the game they wanna play cuz of other games being available for free it is definitely not a bargain. That’s what I meant.
Because if they eventually like these, they will need to find the time to play and finish 10 games or so. Takes time aka months of subscription.
But for your situation sure. If you are sure you would have only bought 2 or 3 games and intend to finish them in 1 month it is worth it.
Or for the headshot situation aka playing all games for 10 minutes and call it a day.
And the worst part is that if you stop paying, you don't own it.
A lot can be said about "owning" in a digital age, but Steam has no incentive to shut down their servers. On the other hand, any game can be yanked from a "hurr as a durr" service ... just because the publisher decided so. That's unacceptable.
Time will tell if Game Pass was a good purchase for me, i got 36 months of GPU for 150 GBP, that's about 4.2 GBP per month, already want to play Fallout 76 and No Man's Sky, will be playing all Halo campaigns right before Halo Infinite will be out. Bethesda games should be on GP as well. Not sure that for me it's a great deal tho i will get my money worth, but for families with kids? Probably best deal out there... Get a $300 Xbox Series S plus 3 years of 5 bucks per month GPU and kids will go crazy over it.
you can't really do something wrong, if you don't like it you just wasted 10 euros.
maybe it's different on the console but on the pc there was never something i was interested in, except maybe forza 4 and even this needed you to buy the dlcs extra and of course the whole game was a let down compared to forza 3. wonder why this one never got added.

sea of thieves dead on arrival, added more content over the years but no one gives a shit about it anymore.
gears 5 was just bad in every way, just like halo will be bad.
anything else is either old as fuck or i already got for free on steam or egs. so i wonder where are the good games that are worth to subscribe to it.
of course if you like it and you really play games there then that is fine, but for me it's utter shit, even for 1 euro i wouldn't get it, except there will be a forza 5 on it or so.

It would be real 'choice paralysis' for me if I had GamePass. I only have to remember all the other gens, especially xbox360, where I was downloading and burning all the games and ended up with a stack of discs a foot high and couldn't even decide where to start most of the time, probably ended up playing less of the games I really would have enjoyed just because of the sheer quantity of average stuff I had.
Even now on PS4 (well, PS5 in fact now) I have more than enough with PS+ and the occasional cheapo purchases off PSN to have a backlog that would take me an age to get through, and most of them are games I actually want!

I myself had 1.5 years of XBONE PASS on XBONE... I've probably played its games for like 1 month at best all in all
Also free Forza is a joke, as freiwald said, there is 0 dlc. This is also a way to force people into buying DLC....
XBOX Game Pass isn't that amazing as one would think. But well, it's just business : Microsoft isn't doing it to please you, it's a win win scenario. Or should I say win/loss for freiwald & gibman70 ?
Done with Titanfall 2 campaign, it's very good! Shame it's only 9.5 hours long. Looks very nice with auto hdr, sharp and nice colors. Gameplay is very fun, can't remember when i had such fun with fps, i didn't try it all this years since i'm not into mechs games and such, but was surprised and really liked it!
Since i liked it then i downloaded more SP campaigns i didn't try like Battlefield 1 and 5, Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2... Will try them next.
Hey Adebisi, I was surprised to see your comment about Game Pass in one of the threads in the PC section about not finding games you liked. I guess it's subjective, but there's so many games on there I'm amazed you only found a couple you liked so far. I discovered Prey through GP last time it was on there and really enjoyed it, was looking for a game kind of like Bioshock in game play, so that really hit the mark for me. Donut County is a game I'd never buy but I got an afternoon's amusement out of it (more for the story than the gameplay which isn't much of a challenge).
I participate in Microsoft Rewards which I know is available in the UK, that gets me downloading GP games I wouldn't have otherwise and there's been a few games I played through as a result of doing a stupid quest thing through Rewards. And I know I want to eventually play through ME and Dead Space plus a couple other EA games, so that's just an added bonus.

Game Pass has a massive library with many great games, unfortunately i played most of them the last year on PC, for sure games like The Outer World or Jedi Fallen Order are very good games to play and there are more, but like i said i already played them.
I tried Kingdom Hearts 3, No Man's Sky and FO76 but didn't like them( going to try FO76 again now with the FPS Boost.)
If i'm not mistaken i only fully played Titanfall 2 (it's great!) And BF5.
So i must be honest with myself and for now after 6 months or so it wasn't worth it for me, but the thing is that now after i won't game so much on PC then any new games like Halo Infinite or Stalker 2 will be great to play day 1, also plan to play all Halo campaigns before, so it's not a total lost, for now after looking at all the GP catalogue yesterday i only downloaded FO76 and Prey.
Any how it's a good service no doubt, just no sure it's worth it for me but i have 2.5 years more so lets see.
Some games may have lowered res when using FPS Boost, like Fallout 76.
In the complete list over the link above you can see there's and "off by default on xsx" which may mean it doesn't have the One X enhancements which tbh sucks, i tried FO76 with Boost and while it's smooth it looks bad.
Just hold the sync button to sync to PC, or tap twice to sync to XSX,
Really cool! Tried it yesterday and work flawlessly. It's very good as i have some games i want to play on PC and only have one controller.
Managed to order a series x today after actively trying for the last 2 weeks or so. I've been considering getting one for a while but fps boost has convinced me.
Seems to be quite a bit less rare than RTX cards or PS5s but still hard to get at MSRP for sure.
I'm kinda surprised the Series S has been in stock below MSRP all the way so far (it's going for 290€~, MSRP is 299)
We already have a series S in the household and it's very nice as a gamepass machine for less demanding players and I'm looking forward to using these 2 to share gamepass and play some coop stuff.
