Apart from the console centric UI, everything you guys are complaining about is why I bought and backed KCD
If in 90% of threads people can tell me 'maybe this game isn't for you anymore', then maybe it's time to accept similar advice

Steal some shit? People peg you for a thief after you exit the town and now you're wanted forever. Man this game is shit in a lot of ways
The tutorial text literally tells you about this. If you are spotted, and then stuff goes missing, they will blame you.
They didn't do it this way in the first game, so you could rob the entire town overnight and skip off with everything. This is a much better deterrent and it means you have to actually stay hidden the entire time.
Also, investing in black as death and silent clothes, so you have very low visibility and very low conspicuousness.
But I don't steal for example, because I am good Henry. Good Christian Henry.
Anyone else have the issue with trainers not aborting training fights correctly when you tell them you need a break? Doesn't matter what I say or if I sheathe my sword, they'll always keep attacking afterwards.

Game is amazing. I'm nearly 60 hours in and still have some ways to go.
It's also well optimised and surprisingly polished. I've had two side quests bug out in all that time and both were fixed with a reload.
If anyone is seriously skipping this due to some perceived culture war thing then they are missing out.
Did you play the first one? Is it necessary?
The game does a good job explaining the events of the first game, but there are still going to be a lot of references/nods to things you won't understand.
I had that! Then of course I get intro trouble for hitting them back, and all hell breaks loose
I was on a quest with, lets say, a "massive social gathering" (being deliberately vague so as not to spoil anything). The thing I needed was on the edge of a table next to a cook pot. Accidently "stole" a spoon full of soup - cook runs out screeching bloody murder, absolute pandemonium erupts among the merry-makers against myself.
And people out there are defending limited saving in this game - yea, no. The scripting is WAY too broken to not have unlimited quicksaving. I've been playing for a few days now, I'm on Quicksave #742, and I probably should have made MORE than I did.
Also, a tip for those that may not have encountered it yet - if you ever happen to run across a tournament, make sure you wait for your opponent to walk into the ring FIRST, otherwise he will often bug out and never show up, leaving you permanently jailed in the tourney ring, unable to leave.

ok, let's have it... how much time did you loose?
About 15 minutes reloading and trying different things before I figured out what the deal was (shit scripting/pathing). Vavra must have been dipping into the Bethesda hiring pool.

Reloading the game sucks though, I have better things to do then admiring a loading screen.
Limiting saving is so stupid. Just add a mode for the people that wnat that (and since it's not real hardcore mode and the games combat is clunky and you'll have a good change running into bugs, nobody wants that.)

I'm skipping it because I still haven't played the first one
But the megachud reeeeeing about this game is getting just insane.

The entire game is a humiliation ritual. Its hard not to detest gamers when they willingly subject themselves to all these missions that exist to waste your time and teach you to care for outsiders who literally hate you, and not only do 250k people do it, but actively *defend* the game. Dirt people.

It would be a crime indeed to jump straight into the sequel, Deliverance I may have (slightly) less polished mechanics but it's full of hilarious moments and brilliant situations that encourage exploration. Its tone is also rather unique with the personal story and Henry starting as a complete peasant who can't even read or handle a baton, only to gradually turn into a ̶s̶o̶l̶d̶i̶e̶r̶ complete war machine and respected kurva. It's the kind of rewarding progression reminiscent of Gothic and Morrowind, the good stuff. This series is such a pleasant anomaly in the current spoon-feeding-friendly pear-oriented gaming panorama.
Yes. One of my favorite parts of any game made in the last decade for sure. It was also at the point where the combat was still fun and not just a master strike fest

I really like this game, but like the first one, I'm going to shelve it until all DLC is out
It took ~2 years or so IIRC for me to get to that with KCD
Not because it's buggy or whatever, I just want to explore every inch and do every little thing, and I don't want to come back later trying to recapture the feeling of a first time. A complete experience will be better
I'm 30 something hours in, got out of the first major open world area. If you count Henry and Hans (i've had a couple dialogue options with hearts ) , i've counted ~ 8 gay characters so far.. it's jarring at times because a few of them reveal this within minutes of meeting Henry... you wanna be gay i dont care.. but for the gamedevs out there if you want a gay character, write a FUCKING GOOD GAY CHARACTER instead of taking random characters in the game and giving them dialogue like "ohhh well i was never... much into the ladies.... if you catch my meaning" it's just fucking pandering cringe. My main complaint with the game so far. There's also a ton of doing nothing but following NPCs around which is to be expected but it has been dialed up more in the sequel.

wat? 8? I got the impression there was one.
glad i didn't support it. i actually would have cared way less if Vavra didn't try to come off as being conservative/based, JOKING and talking down on woke games to just do the same. what a tard. i'll gladly play it for free though, seems decent enough even though i'm partial towards fantasy.
One of the main villains from the first game returns and was a known homosexual. This was an actual character and the homosexuality is used to show his depravity and whatnot, plus one of the other villains is his gay lover. Whatever, that’s fine.. no issues with it and it makes sense within the world.
Then you have all these random ones. The funniest one to me besides the main characters suddenly turning bisexual, is a fist fighter who lives In a remote hut near a village. You need to go see him to challenge him to a fight. You beat him, he invites you to stay for a drink and gives a lonely vibe.. he implies his homosexuality and talks about how he was driven from his village for his sins. This is to a heavily armed Henry who he barely knows and for all he knows could kill him
Another one was 2 random villagers at a smithy sitting near each other on separate benches with back turned to one another. Loudly talking about how the other one needs to join him in the forest to go chop wood. There’s so much “WOOD” there that it will make 2 people to cut it all. It keeps going on and on with the emphasis on “WOOD” just silly.
Aside from that there’s a knight at a feast who you barely know who again says something like “ohh I’d much rather have a drink with you outside” it’s like wtf is this shit. It’s still a good game but has a lot of trash in it
When was his homosexuality used to show his depravity?

Nothing quantitatively but the way it was implied was well done. Kind of like how Wenceslas would have been slandered for being a drunk homo by his political rivals. Henry realizing Istvan and his gay lovers relationship was interesting imo.
Anyway, you can like this game while also admitting there is some unnecessary bullshit added to the sequel. It’s undeniable at this point and I’m not even halfway through the game. Vavra is a master troll I guess
