It's called "Memory Training". Happens once then it should go back to the normal 20-30-40 sec "From power button to desktop" booting times on next boots unless you touch a single BIOS setting, memory (or not?) related.
I heard ya can disable the training somewhere in the BIOS if ya confident on ya tweakings or you run stuff on defaults and don't wanna hear about the training ever again
Only happens on AM5 boards

If its only this specific CPU, thats not much of an issue for gamers.

I finally got my thumb out of my ass and changed my CPU cooler. My Corsair H100i that I've had for ~10 years is finally gone. It's been a shit cooler the last ~2 years (gunk in the water block and radiator as well as a degraded pump). I've been running my 8700K CPU with hyperthreading disabled and slightly underclocked and undervolted to keep temps under 90 degrees.
I replaced it with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 (new version) and I can finally run it with hyperthreading as well as overclocking it. Temps max out at ~75 degrees. It's like night and day. I've had the new cooler in a box for a couple of months since I was too lazy to do the swap. I'm glad I did. The system is snappier and smoother for sure.

I change my CPU when the itch comes to change my CPU.

there will not be a game that will say min requirements 8 cores until maybe next gen consoles come out, which wont be anytime soon as they still are on their refresh old console cycle which they havent even released yet
and where the fuck is all this directstorage dx12 pc games we have been promised for ages since consoles had it ???
was planning on changing CPU next time something pops up. Was hoping for Intel, but if they're gonna shit the bed and AMD don't have the classic problems they had decades ago then i might go for AMD.

and how much fps with your retro setup in games like hellblade 2, skylines 2, starfield? *insert generic new shooter here*? below 30 fps on 720p/low settings? where is the fun in that can you even start/play them?
dude an onboard vega8 igpu runs all those games at 30 fps in 720p , dont insult my rx570 i get 100% gpu use on most of my games full hd med 60 fps is no isseus whatsoever. u might laugh but budget gamers are chugging allong just fine with their 6y old gpus n ancient quadcores without the need to make their wallets cry as long as no new 8-16 core consoles come out.
i havent seen 100% cpu use EVER except goddamn windows patches or steam downloads lol
the intel thing is gonna become a class action for sure, i cant wait, but after such a fail they gonna have to make a real kickass product to gain back trust. the 16 or 17th gen might actually be something very cool, unless they also go the full retard ai balony way
