Overheating is HW related tho, especially because of the plastic, with metal the metal can function as some sort of conductor and release heat more easier, with plastic that's kinda hard..

The problem I see with this phone is its extremly soft cover. Any little knock may have ugly consequences for its structure. So, handle with care... the other con. is that is good for heating himself, on a regular use, such as now... Im writing and have some apps open and that's enough for going hot... (not that hot but hot enough to notice it). I have to test it with games still.

play any demanding game, real racing 3 for example, and you instantly see performance difference. of course you won't notice in shit like angry birds...

I know I know.. It's a smartphone market. Every new device gets outdated in 6months at most.
But we came to the point where no real difference can be seen. Remember how all android devices were sluggish and skippy, stuttery ?
Now most of the top devices are buttery smooth and so is android4. They need to steep up their game more than jsut specs on paper and benchmarks. There is no real use for those.
Almost the same as 1080p which is pretty much useless on smartphones.
I think that developers should stop that spec war and finally start doing something about build quality and battery life. Specs are already wonderfull on most new devices.. and no matter if cpu is 1.6 or 1.9. It's all smooth anyway in day to day usage.
I want longer battery life and more durability !

Who plays games on phone anyway, even on 5" screen your fingers cover like 50% of the screen. On tablet i would play games like Baldurs Gate / Arma Tactics.

Yes i play games aswell, mostly some puzzle games, but i dont feel comfortable playing FPS games (racing games could be playable tho). Phone screen just isnt enough for graphical intensive games, dont like at all when my fingers are covering most of the view.

I used to love playing games on my iPod, but I don't think I could ever go back again.. not after using my iPad, Breezer is completely right; your fingers cover too much of the screen (even if that "too much" is only the two corners) and I would miss the larger screen. For what it's worth, RR3 ran lovely on my Pad2, I don't entirely think it was a constant 60, but it sure as fuck wasn't 22-28 ugliness on the Nexus 4. It was definitely 40++
... shame the game is a pathetic clusterfuck of Pay2win bullshit. Sure, you can use IAPFree and whatnot, but then that just removes any reason to even play the game in the first place. RR2 is by far the better game, it's just a shame RR3 looks so much nicer in comparison.

Yeah i also play on my note 2. Big screen really helps but i can't really get into big games.vice city and Max Payne are payable but it's mainly just a novelty of having it and bring able to show off vice city to impress friends at work
games are where is at. Shame we don't get more quality stuff like the room which was amazing. Ohhh and carmageddon is pretty great port too.
STill. Best game for mobile ever is doom rpg. Finished it like 5 times on my old Sony Ericsson. 5hours of quality dm game.
is not on Android !

if you only want to play games that were released on pc and then complain about touch controls it's your problem. there are plenty mobile games that play perfectly with touch controls, so many rpgs to choose from: final fantasy 3, final fantasy dimensions, even ff1 and ff2, chaos rings, chaos rings omega, chaos rings 2, bard's tale. these are just my favorite rpgs on mobile, there are many other games. basically any game that doesn't require precise aiming will work fairly well with touch controls.
i have 10s of hours sunk in real racing 3, rayman jungle run and others.
my advice to have fun with mobile gaming is stop trying to play shooters (or games that require aiming) and diversify.
btw, i know this is unrelated to touch controls, but you can use ps3 controller to play gta3, vice city, etc. and they play PERFECTLY. so those games are far from novelty on mobile.
